"If you want a sporty SUV and are willing to take high running costs, then the Infiniti QX70 is worth a look."

The Infiniti QX70 (formerly Infiniti FX) is a large car with large motors and high operating costs. There is not a slow model in the range and stiff suspension it means corners well, too, but it's worth it, just to see a test ride if the ride is soft enough for you to live on a daily basis.

MPG, Rates & CO2 runs

No QX70 will be cheap to run
Lagre dimensions and a heavy weight are a recipe for a high operating cost. The worst offenders in the 5.0-liter S Premium, which manages in fuel consumption only 20.9mpg and returns a whopping 316g / km CO2. The most efficient is the 3.0-liter diesel (see below), but even that is possible only 32.8mpg and pumps still 225g / km CO2 from a £ 295 annual road tax bill.

Both petrol models, high CO2 £ the 505 per year in road tax thanks to cost issues. Service and maintenance is less expensive than you would think Nissan, Infiniti thanks compound when.

motors, drive & Performance

Sporty handling and powerful engines
All versions of the QX70 are pretty fast. In the gasoline corner you can take your pick from a 3.7-liter V6 or a 5.0-liter V8, take each car from 0-62mph in 5.8 and 6.8 seconds to accelerate. The 3.0-liter diesel V6 is slower than the two gasolines and quite a bit louder, but inevitably has the lowest operating costs.
All models come with an effective seven-speed automatic transmission that changes gears up and down through quickly and smoothly - but you can take yourself paddles behind the steering wheel attached to use if you have more control prefer. The QX70 takes corners well for a car of its size and height thanks to a clever all-wheel steering and four-wheel drive.

Despite its high center of gravity, tends the car not to lean in the corners, so there is not much body roll. However, the steering is a little numb and the ride a little too hard at times.

Interior & Comfort
-
inside is comfortable but could ride softer
The QX70 a sporty luxury focused on his car, so occupants for a pretty tough journey must be prepared. Some models are equipped with large 21-inch alloy wheels, the more bump ride comfort. In contrast, the interior is a very pleasant place to be, with comfortable heated and cooled seats, which can also be equipped with a massage function. General wind, road and tire noise is kept to a minimum, but while petrol models are nice and quiet, the diesel engine can be a bit rattly on the go.
-
practicality & trunk
-
For a car of this size, the boat is too small
Each car that is doing as sporty as the QX70 has practicality compromise looks like inside. This means that a 410-liter boot with the rear seats in place, which is less than 100 liters, as you get in a Porsche Cayenne or BMW X6 either. Lower the split-folding rear seats flat and extends the capacity to 1305 liters -. But that's not very impressive for a big car like the QX70
The interior luckily is spacious enough to comfortably seats four adults, although room isn 't the best. Legroom is fine, however, and the rear seats can be adjusted for added comfort.

the QX70 also has "scratch shield "paint, but you would be very reckless indeed to actually scratch because there are a number of cameras on the front mounted, back and sides of the car are shown to give an all-round when parking.

reliability and safety
-
Nissan like Lexus is Toyota's upscale brand - - all its engines were tried and tested on the Nissan range motors should with Infiniti, the luxury arm of Nissan is reliable
prove. It has been reported, no major disturbances or callbacks, either. In safety terms, the QX70 secured the maximum five-star rating in the independent Euro NCAP crash test. It is equipped with driver and passenger airbags and electronic stability control. There is also the possibility of more safety equipment adding, including lane assistance and an intelligent brake system can brake the car without driver intervention. Interior quality is also pretty impressive, but some materials do not have the upscale feel of some premium competitors.

price, price-performance ratio and options

Much kit, but depreciation is
All Infiniti are highly packed with standard equipment, so that the entry QX70 decorated with an impressive range of accessories and gadgets , The list includes a rear view camera, cruise control, air conditioning, heated and cooled leather seats and 20-inch alloys.
If you spend a bit more money for a S, S Premium or Ultimate model, you get 'll cruise control with automatic braking, Navi and Lane Departure Prevention. But be warned - depreciation is very high, so that the resale value of the QX70 on the used car market is bad.
