"The BMW X4 offers more style than substance, with sharp lines, but disappointing expediency."

The BMW X4 is designed a sportier version of the BMW X3 SUV to be, is something that further underpinned by the addition of an M Sport model.
The good looks of a coupe and the increased ride height of an SUV, trying to marry the X4 the best of both worlds. However, the practicality of this combination leaves a lot to be desired. For example, making the coupe-style silhouette it difficult to see again when maneuvering, the last thing you want that in an already high SUV.
The mid-range trim XLINE offers ECO PRO, Comfort, Sport and Sport + mode drive, allowing you to prioritize fuel economy and sporty handling, as desired, and comfortable sport seats. Styling additions are 'X' embossed on the headrests, metallic paint and chrome exhaust pipes.

Meanwhile, the M Sport model finely -tunes the suspension, has an aerodynamic body kit and includes shift paddles on the steering column.
in respect of the engines is of limited X4 to diesel in the UK. There are three options: the entry-level xDrive20d, the mid-range xDrive30d and top-of-the-range xDrive35d. The 20d is a 2.0-liter engine, while the 30d and 35d are both 3.0-liter
The X4 SE is limited to the weakest 20d engine -. A twin-turbo four-cylinder with 187bhp. It is in eight seconds flat do 0-62mph and can a top speed of 131 mph with the standard six-speed manual reach
The 20d is the only engine choice of manual or automatic transmission to offer. the 30d and 35d have an eight-speed automatic transmission, but with shift paddles on the steering column, so you can change gear yourself should you wish.
The mid-range engine is 30d Sport trim available in both XLINE and M. It has six cylinders, as well as the more powerful 35d, which is only as M Sport. It produces 309bhp and gets the car from 0-62mph in 5.2 seconds.

concerns as fuel, the 20d engine trim in entry-level SE returns up to 55.4mpg and emits 135g / km of CO2, while the strongest 35d returns and the average CO2 emissions of 157g 47.1mpg / km, according to BMW.
would be our choice of entry-level 20d because it meets the best balance between performance and economy. Whichever engine you choose, the sharp steering X4 and decent treatment is a welcome change from other high SUVs, however, the CO2 emissions vary between models - also with the same engine - based on the size of the wheels - so check this before you buy, just in case it hits the car in a different road tax bracket.
If the X4 on your budget, we would the entry-level Land Rover Discovery Sport or the Audi Q3, recommend the offer like the 20d version. The Mazda CX-5 SUV is also cheaper, but still pretty stylish.
