"The Q30 is the premium market to crack latest attempt of Infiniti. It is an elegant, comfortable and well-equipped hatchback."

Infiniti selling cars in the UK for a few years now, but it's every effort, too make a real impact. The Q30 provides that to change as it goes against some of the most famous cars in the premium hatchback class - on cars that regularly on the lists of the best selling cars feature. So the Q30 has to be good.
It is based on the same chassis as the Mercedes A-Class and in turn shares many mechanical components, including engines and transmissions, as well as various parts of the interior. It competes with the BMW 1 Series, Audi A3, Volvo V40 and the A-Class and, based on appearance, it does a good job out stands.

There are many folds and curves keep buyers interested, while the interior is luxurious and high quality, if a little less attractive than the Audi A3 and Mercedes a-class. There are many devices, however, and it feels well built. Space comes at a bit of a premium, though, there is not much leeway - even for average height adult - while footwell is quite limited on the back. The boot is quite large for its class, however, and it is a practical square shape.
The Q30 is very comfortable on the road, and possibly one of the best in the class on the go to be calm and relaxed. The diesel engines are shared with Mercedes, which is also found in cars like the Nissan Qashqai and Renault Kadjar the smaller 1.5-liter diesel means, while there is also a 1.6-liter turbo petrol. Buyers can also opt for all-wheel drive, so Infiniti a direct competitor to Audi A3 has quattro models.

Where the Q30 is easy is price performance ratio. Top-spec models cost more than £ 30,000 that something of this size a lot of money. There is a more robust version on the way to the name QX30, which compete with the likes of the Volvo V40 Cross Country and Mercedes GLA.

Efficient diesel engines set the Q30 on the same level with rival here
the Infiniti Q30 engine range starts from a 107bhp 1.5-liter turbo diesel, which claims is 68.9mpg back and 108 g / km CO2 for £ 20-a-year road tax. These figures are very tempting, but it is worth this engine Recalling may feel a little out of breath, so it's not really keep up with the premium image of the rest of the car. We rode this version and we have managed to get 47mpg, which is a way short of the claimed figures.
The more powerful 165bhp 2.2-liter diesel looks like a better bet, but it will not have to run so cheap, put tax bracket thanks to CO2 emissions of 127g / km in the £ 130 per year. Petrol fans can choose between supercharged 1.6 and 2.0-liter engine - the former and the latter make 119 205bhp - but again, the running costs not be so low, either as diesel. The 1.6-liter 138g / km of CO2 emitted, a year-tax bill was £ 130 means during the 2.0-liter out km 156g / sets, which means it will cost you 185 per year tax £.
Infiniti limited dealer network compared to the bigger brands could be a cause for concern, depending on where in the UK you live - although the brand collect and return your car for free when it needs a service, which are all 15,500 miles or one year.

there is a good range of petrol and diesel engines, but the Q30 is to drive
Comfort not the most exciting was the watchword when Infiniti Q30 was the development, it is so no match for the BMW 1 series, when. to driver involvement The entry level petrol (119bhp) and diesel (107bhp) engines are not particularly agile, either, but luckily there are more powerful options in the form of a 165bhp 2.2-liter diesel and a 205bhp 2.0-liter petrol. The 1.5-liter diesel is in order in the city, but it is quite noisy if you put the foot. You can find your foot down a lot put into this version, also, because it will feel quite sluggish.
None of this is to improve the Q30 of unobtrusive handling, but they will at least ensure that they get from A to B. fairly quickly The model with the most sporting behavior is the Q30 Sport. It is powered by the 205bhp turbocharged 2.0-liter petrol engine which, although fairly quickly - 62 hours mi 7.3 seconds, a - it's not fast enough to justify its price. it endures it with competitors like the BMW M135i, Ford Focus RS, the Volkswagen Golf R and the Audi S3. Also, the Infiniti is as good as to drive other models, either.
There are a lot of grip, thanks to the standard four-wheel drive, but it is not nearly as agile as its competitors. Not surprisingly, the Sport model also tauter suspension, not to deliver not only a particularly pleasant driving experience, but - in conjunction with the 19-inch wheels -. Ruined the ride quality, even
Together with many models in this class, there is a choice of six ~~ POS = TRUNC manual transmission and seven ~~ POS = TRUNC dual clutch automatic transmissions. The six-speed manual transmission has just lifted the Mercedes A-Class, which is based on the Q30. It feels light and hakelig, and does not feel as nice as the Audi A3 or BMW 1 Series to use.
At higher speeds, which is very relaxed and refined Q30, thanks much insulation. Bumps are good, even if it is not controlled as comfortable as a Volvo V40.

Interior & Comfort

The Q30 has a really plush and luxurious cabin, with plenty of kit
Mercedes is a technical partner of Infiniti and the Q30 is based on the Mercedes a-class. You can see some evidence of this in, but given the current Merc interiors are so nice, that's not a bad thing. The cab of the Q30 is definitely a cut, you will contribute in a Nissan, with suede effect headliner and quality switchgear, solid, would get upscale feel for it. There is a touch screen infotainment of Nissan derived, although it is sunk into the dashboard, as opposed to its tablet-like as in Mercedes. Otherwise, everything is still rather unknown, but some plastics feel quite hard and the controls are not quite as simple as using the A-Class.
The Q30 from us premium spec seats with extra support pre drove your upper and lower back is to make it extremely comfortable on long trips. Active noise cancellation, which works through the transmission of noise at a certain frequency in a manner similar to noise-canceling headphones to drown out background sounds, is an option on Q30s with the 2.2-liter diesel engine.
The Q30 is not as big inside as Volkswagen Golf, with room feeling very closely both in the front and back when compared with the VW. The chunky C-pillars contribute to a little cramped in the rear seats, too.

practicality & trunk
-
reasonable mean boot capacity and cabin space, the Infiniti Q30 doing here
outright practicality is often relegated to the second place of style in this class, but the Q30 is probably still to be as a family hatchback used by many buyers, so it should be put in a good performance. Boot volume is 430 liters - very slightly more than the two BMW 1 Series and Audi A3 and a good deal larger than the Mercedes A-class' 341 liters. Space inside is fine, too, although the sloping roofline scope limited somewhat for larger occupants.

reliability and safety

Not to go a lot of data, but should be good
beInfiniti itself did not appear in our most recent driver Power customer satisfaction survey - a reflection of the fact that it just arent many Infiniti owners in the UK yet - but parent company Nissan was a disappointing 28th of 32 brands ranked number
Infiniti VIP treatment for its customers in line with its premium image promises, so might be their experience. different. The Mercedes A-Class, on which the Q30 is also based in the survey do not, but we would expect reliability to be quite good as the Infiniti used much tried and tested components.
Safety-wise, the Q30 comes with the latest technology, including the parking aid. Blind spot warning, forward collision warning, emergency auto-dimming headlights and active cruise control, which automatically maintains a safe distance to the vehicle ahead.
The car of Euro NCAP crash tested the end of 2015, reaching the full five-star rating. It has 84% for adult occupant protection, 86% to protect child occupants and a particularly impressive 91% for pedestrian protection on the way to the maximum rating.

more expensive than many rivals, the Infiniti Q30 is not a good price-performance ratio
We tried the premium tech specification level from which most expected is popular choice for Q30 owners. There are three types, simply referred to as the entry-level than Q30.
Premium contains a more luxurious and better equipped interior, while the Sport a driver-oriented version that wrapped with sports seats as standard and a leather, flat-bottomed steering wheel and sporty aluminum pedals.
the starting price of Q30 of just under £ 20,000 is more than what you'll pay 1 Series or Audi A3 for the cheapest BMW, and it rises to £ 25,000 for mid-range models, all the way up to over £ 30,000 for top-of-the-range sports models, so it's not particularly good value compared to the competition.
