"The MINI Paceman is a fascinating affair. It offers decent backcourt and powerful engines, but without the practicality of five doors or the drive appeal the hatch. "

the MINI Paceman is an unusual cross between a three-door, coupé and a SUV. It has increased the ride height and optional four-wheel drive of an SUV, the sloping roofline of a coupe and the three doors of a small family sedan.
Although there is a decent amount of space in the back and in the trunk, the access is limited by the lack of rear doors and there is really only room for two back there. The rest of the car is familiar to those who know the MINIs, the styling of the tailgate and the MINI Countryman.
They have the same range of engines as you get through the rest of the MINI range, with the exception of basic One and One D versions. There are Cooper, Cooper D, Cooper S, Cooper SD and John Cooper Works models - all of which can be quickly and economically to varying degrees. The best balance between the two is the Cooper SD, suggested the 143bhp offers 62.8mpg economy and CO2 emissions of only 119 g / km. This means it will cost per year tax just £ 30th
All Paceman models come with niceties such as air conditioning, DAB digital radio, USB and Bluetooth phone connectivity and electronic stability control.

cheap, if you select one of the economical diesel
the cheapest MINI Paceman is the Cooper D diesel run. It might not be fast, but the Cooper D can 67mpg back. CO2 emissions of 111g / km mean that the road tax is also cheap and the Paceman will qualify for free road tax in the first year and pay just £ 30 thereafter. Our choice of the engine would be the feature in the Cooper SD. Another diesel, it creates almost as fast as the Cooper S to be, but also be much more economical. It can reduce the CO2 emissions of 119g / km for road tax, the right back in the Cooper D costs and an economy figure of 63mpg.
a gasoline model Brand brings an inevitable decline in fuel consumption, but the Coopers economy 48mpg and emissions of 137g / km is to break the bank. It's worth the road tax of £ 130 per year.
Mounting your Paceman with all-wheel drive will increase fuel consumption by around 5mpg and CO2 emissions.
MINI offers service plans to reduce that can mean saving money on multiple services, while insurance from the group in the area 15 in the Cooper D Group 33 in the John Cooper Works.

Sport focus makes it to drive the MINI Countryman more fun than
the unique selling point Paceman is combined with the best "go-kart" handling in the interior of the Ryman and the performance of regular MINI hatchback.
Unfortunately, this means that it is very much a halfway house, fall decided with the drive between stalls. The Paceman has a longer, stable wheelbase, which means its rider is better than the standard MINI, but while it is lower than the Countryman, it is still quite high above the ground, heavier and longer than the hatchback. So handling suffers compared to the gasoline engine, but is better than Ryman. It's still fun to drive, with responsive petrol engines and reasonably refined diesels, and if you use the optional sport mode, it's sportier gets. The diesel automatic models are the least engaged for driving enthusiasts, but they are cheaper to run than gasoline.
If the power is on the list above, the MINI Paceman John Cooper Works, the only choice is in this range, going from 0-62mph in 6.9 seconds. Likewise, when maximum functionality is what you are looking for the all-wheel drive is best to deal with ALL4 models in a variety of conditions.

Interior & Comfort

More convenient than the MINI hatchback thanks decent head and legroom
the increased suspension soaks bumps the Paceman and makes it more convenient than the standard MINI. For 2014, MINI has also added more sound deadening, but there's more noise transmitted into the interior than it should, albeit redesigned exterior mirrors have reduced wind noise.
The interior of the Paceman closely on the retro style appearance reflects the standard MINI, with toggle switches and an oversized knob in the center of the dashboard. MINI has updated the car in 2014 with flashes of chrome and new plastics, but the car does not feel as good as the new MINI together and it does not feel like the upscale product once did.
Getting comfortable behind the wheel should be easy enough, thanks to a wide range of adjustments for the driver's seat and steering wheel to be. For some the biggest advantage of the Paceman through the normal MINI is its elevated ride height, which and gives a better view of the road.

practicality & trunk

much practical than the standard MINI hatchback
the second practical MINI available behind his brother, the Countryman is the Paceman on the market. You will receive a total of 1,080 liters of space with the seats folded flat, which is only 0 liters less than the Countryman and much more than the regular MINI hatchback that offers a maximum of 680 liters of space. The boot opens in an upward direction of the load range to make even greater, but the taillights do hold a bit, so the slightly smaller opening than it could be.
There is also the fact that the Paceman has only three doors that really does compromise rear seat access for bulky large objects. In addition, there are only two seats in the back, so that you can carry only a maximum of four people anyway.

Well Proven components with engines in many models used
It's look like a brand new MINI, but the Paceman with the same platform of the MINI Countryman uses built in Arnold Schwarzenegger hometown Graz, Austria. The engine, transmission and all-wheel drive systems have all tried and tested over the rest of the MINI range.
The 1.6-liter petrol engine and six-speed manual is also in Peugeot and Citroen used models, it is in production for some time so and has developed well, reported no major problems. What is more, the fact that BMW MINI has means that build quality and reliability are high.
However MINI placed only in the list of manufacturers in 28 2013 Driver Power customer satisfaction survey, with no single model of top-cracking 100 cars. The Paceman is likely to come to new, but the Ryman placed in the survey 125 .. None of this means that the Paceman is unreliable, only that there is room for improvement, especially for a premium brand. In terms of security, front, side and curtain airbags and Dynamic Stability Control are standard, while parking distance control and adaptive headlights are available as an accessory.

Hefty premium for practicality, but good value compared to the Evoque
so desirable may be the Paceman, it is also the most expensive MINI in the area the brand, so it is likely to be more of an emotional purchase, rather than a rational purchase. But not all is lost if your your heart follow and get a Paceman how MINIs in the used car market strong resale value, greatly enhances the strength of the brand.
MINI is careful to limit the number of cars that it builds, so that even in slow sales periods do not, the market is not flooded with cars and it still retains its appeal. The other strength of the Paceman is that. Around half the price of rival Range Rover Evoque, his only obvious major competitors
