The Hyundai i40 Estate is a step in a new direction for the Korean company. Until now it has focused on small cars, but i40 the sharp look of the Ford Mondeo and VW Passat in its sights.

The Hyundai i40 Tourer is one of the newer large family estate cars on the market. It competes with established competitors like the Ford Mondeo Estate, Vauxhall Insignia Sports Tourer, Toyota Avensis Tourer and Volkswagen Passat.
Bold styling makes the stand out from the crowd i40 and its smooth lines go in a way to hide the additional mass of the estate to the i40 sedan compared. Nevertheless, there is plenty of space inside. to take the boat to 553 liters of luggage with the rear seats and 1719 liters when they are folded down
The i40 also has a retractable luggage screen and underfloor storage areas, it is a truly practical car. Hyundai is a good price-performance ratio known and the i40 has a lot of standard equipment for the price -. Many expensive to embarrass rivals

of motors the choice is quite limited, however: a diesel engine with two performance levels 1.7-liter - and that's it. On the plus side fuel economy is impressive for such a big car: 60mpg exceed equipped i40 stands with a manual transmission. The automatic is are indeed best avoided as it increases the CO2 emissions from a respected 110-123g / km for the manual and 129g / km, which increases the tax bill -. Especially for company car drivers
Although driving isn 't great fun, the i40 Tourer on the road is very comfortable. The cabin is quiet and although the Hyundai not as sharp as the estate Ford Mondeo grip, it feels safe and speed composed, so it's a good highway Car
There are four trim levels available .: S, SE Nav, SE Nav Business and Premium. Each model comes with 16-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning and Bluetooth phone connectivity. The SE Nav model adds the likes of DAB digital radio and Navi, while the Premium model includes a power liftgate and a panoramic sunroof.
Our top choice is SE Nav trim with the more powerful 139bhp engine and a manual transmission, as you get a little more power than the 114bhp model, but the running costs are low enough that most drivers hard would be pressed to notice the difference.
