on paper, the Audi RS5 looks like an enticing recipe. It has a glorious 4.2-liter V8 front (the same engine in the previous generation of the Audi R8 supercar used) and excellent grip from its quattro all-wheel drive system - all dressed in an attractive, if somewhat conservative, body.
But for some reason, the RS5 always feels like there is a certain something missing. Not power, though. Its engine makes 444bhp, which should be plenty for most people. That's enough to get it in just 4.5 seconds from 0-62mph - only slightly slower than its rivals from BMW, the M4.
There is not as much fun as the M4, though - it is not so much "feeling" by the steering wheel, so you never feel you are connected as a right with this car, as with the BMW to do. There are a lot of grip thanks to the all-wheel drive system, but it does it all for very safe and progress, rather than a lot of fun on your favorite back road. You could also choose a Mercedes-AMG C63 which delivers more power and a more intense driving experience
The RS5 is but quite comfortable and has a nice plush interior. It will cost more to run than any of its competitors from BMW or Mercedes, but.
