"The Mitsubishi Mirage is well equipped and cheap to run, but compared to the competition, it is expensive pleasant as possible to buy and not to drive. "

Mitsubishi Mirage is a small, offering an excellent amount of standard equipment and features efficient 79bhp 1.2-liter petrol engine, but suffers in comparison to the Volkswagen up! and Skoda Citigo, both of which offer a better value and more construction quality.
The Mirage interior offers plenty of bells and whistles, but the quality of materials is not great and the whole atmosphere is similar to a car of a few years earlier. The driving experience is also disappointing: The Mirage has soft suspension, which should also be protected from bad roads. Unfortunately, potholes and eyes of the cat run the car on uncomfortable to wiggle and it leans too much in the curve
On the positive side is the Mirage cheap to run. Its 1.2-liter engine is free from vehicle tax and returns 65.7mpg, regardless of whether you choose manual or automatic transmission. Standard equipment is impressive generously: the big list includes (but is not limited to) air conditioning, keyless entry and go, all round electric windows, rear parking sensors, alloy wheels, heated front seats and bright xenon headlamps. In the small car class, are only a few cars and equipped them -. Although the relatively high initial price Mirage means it is not a bargain
Originally a three- or five-door and with 1.0 or 1.2-liter petrol engines, the Mirage is now a 1.2-liter five ~~ POS = TRUNC only, which means there is no cheap entry-level model. Mitsubishi warranty is generous and security is adequate, thanks to a vote of four out of five stars in the Euro NCAP - although rivals like the Skoda Citigo the full five stars has

MPG, Rates & CO2 runs

The Mirage running undeniably cheap
The strongest suit Mirage is its fuel economy. The 1.2-liter petrol engine delivers 65.7mpg and is free if you choose from the vehicle tax by low CO2 emissions, the manual or automatic transmission. This impressive efficiency is partly through the use of low rolling resistance tires and a start-stop system.
maintenance should be inexpensive and must be done every year or every 12,500 miles (whichever occurs first), while Mitsubishi five -year / 62,500-mile warranty is more generous than guarantees "many competitors.

the Mirage is not fun
to goThere is feeling in order for superminis on a long car ride from its depths something (although the Skoda Citigo this succeeds with aplomb), but they should in the city surpass Unfortunately the Mitsubishi Mirage underwhelming is to drive in almost any environment on the highway, it feels sluggish and underpowered, while on twisty back roads too much body lean and in the city -.. what should be its strength -. They have very often to change gear, such as the 1.2-liter engine to keep up fight [1945005[

the steering of the Mirage is also easily and offers little feedback, it is hard to judge to make, how much grip the tires. This is disappointing given that those low-resistance tires, while great for the economy, are not very handy. If you need an automatic transmission, you can anywhere else to search: the optional CVT automatic is used in the Mirage, is uncomfortable and noisy, although in fairness Mitsubishi is not the only carmaker to offer this type of transmission. Compared to the Kia Picanto, SEAT Mii and Vauxhall Adam, but the Mirage driving experience is clearly insignificant.

Interior & Comfort
-
Comfortable seats and a decent amount of space, but otherwise little home on
to write, to give it its reason has the Mitsubishi Mirage comfortable front seats, you probably do not give back pain on a long journey - though the rear seats will feel a little flat and unsupportive. Nevertheless, there is a decent amount of interior space, with adequate legroom at the rear. Taller passengers for more rear headroom want but perfectly decent for a small car, room.

dashboard Mirage is undeniable old-fashioned design, but it is logically simple, easy to use and feels compiled quite well. However, using the quality of plastics is lagging behind the competition. Another brand in the load column is the suspension: potholes and broken asphalt cause too much noise and interference, while a corner to take quick and you can expect complaints from all passengers as the Mirage leans and revels uncomfortable in curves.

practicality & trunk
-
of Mirage is a practical, spacious small car
As a purely practical proposition, the Mitsubishi Mirage great acquits. It does not draw in a certain area, but room, legroom and trunk are all fine. Six-foot-passengers in the rear can be used for a few more inches of head and elbowroom want, but that is likely to be the case in a small car.

storage is similarly useful: the Mirage much cubbyholes, pockets and door bins has, while the generous cup holders should absorb most travel mug. Boot space is what you get a competitive 235 liters -16 liters shy of Skoda Citigo. The 60:40 split folding rear seats, the load area to increase, to be dropped to 910 liters - also makes sense when about 10% below the Citigo. The only negative is a high boot lip that gets in the way when bulky items are being loaded.

reliability and safety
-
The Mirage comes with a good warranty, but Mitsubishi reputation has suffered lately
in our 2016 driver Power customer satisfaction survey, Mitsubishi came from 32 manufacturers 31 .. The Looking closely at the individual notes, but this is not quite as disgusting as it seems: a finish in 15th place for its reliability and a result 11th place for practicality indicates that Mitsubishi is going well in terms of reliability and ease of use.
owner Rate On a less positive note, Mitsubishi their cars badly for handling and performance - areas where the Mirage significantly poorer performance. Nevertheless, the car of the five-year / 62,500-mile warranty is generous and should owners stead
security is useful if not outstanding. The Mirage has four out of five stars in Euro NCAP crash tests at a time when many rivals (like the Skoda Citigo) the full five star rating were available. Nevertheless, the Mirage is 0% adult occupant protection score awarded; it was hit by a 55% result of security assistance category, partially be due to the lack of speed limiters and the lack of a seat belt reminder for the rear passengers in the lurch.

A long list of features can not for the high list price of Mirage makeup
We have already touched on the standard equipment of the Mirage, but it's so it long Search warrants on in detail. Order a Mirage today and get air conditioning, keyless entry and go, all round electric windows, rear parking sensors, alloy wheels, heated front seats and bright xenon headlamps. They also receive, as standard, cruise control, DAB radio, Bluetooth connectivity, automatic lights and wipers, a leather steering wheel, heated front seats and rear parking sensors.
While you're unlikely to want more Kit that everything comes at a price: in the standard form, the Mirage is almost £ 3,000 more expensive than the Skoda Citigo and £ 2,000 more than the VW up!. It's not really a list of options such as: Spend an extra £ 1,000 and you get leather seats, while accessories include footwell lights, central armrest, roof rails and various bits of chrome trim.
