"Although it is a premium product is much, is the Mercedes A-Class yet to run pretty cheap."

You will not find a smaller car in the Mercedes-Benz range as the Mercedes A-Class , It is intended to competitors such as the sporty BMW 1 Series and Audi A3, both offer rear competition, while the Infiniti Q30 shares much of its mechanical underpinnings with the A-Class.
Meanwhile, further down the pecking order to take, do rivals like the Volkswagen Golf and Opel Astra similar orders to the A-Class, but for much less money. Granted, they do not have quite the appeal of the brand of Mini Merc, but you have not quite shell out so much money for these cars, either.

Although the Mercedes A-Class fully competent entry into the premium small hatchback class is in many ways, there are some problems. While there is no doubt as to the styling is distinctive, it will not be to everyone's taste, and the price you pay for this nice angle and high window line is a rather poor vision - especially over his shoulder. The small glass area also does not mean a lot of light, which makes the passenger compartment. Combine this with the fact the interior is quite dark anyway, and it can be a bit cloudy there.

The A-Class feels quite up to the mark in terms of interior quality, especially when compared to the excellent Audi A3. Despite these quality concerns, the interior is beautifully designed, with neat styling touches and an ergonomic, easy-to-use layout. It suffers from a little in relation to the interior also mainly in the back. The swooping roofline means headroom is somewhat limited, as you battle three to fit in the back for anything but the shortest journeys. The entry into the rear seats can be a struggle, even if the A-Class has five doors. The rears not openly wide enough, while although the boot is a decent size, it is not a particularly practical form and prominent lip makes heavy items in and out difficult.
One area where you will be running costs not wanting the A-class, but find. The most efficient version - the A180d - provides an extremely impressive 80.7mpg what / km corresponds to CO2 emissions of only 89 g. This means it is exempt from road tax and is located in the 18% benefit-in-kind (BiK) company car tax band.
These figures are only achievable with the six-speed manual transmission, however. Go for the seven-speed dual clutch automatic transmission and the best thing you get is 76.4mpg, while CO2 emissions to jump to 98g / km, the car is still exempt from road tax for private buyers, but the BiK rate jumps to 19%.
If you'd prefer a gasoline, the least expensive model is run automatic A0, which'll return at 54mpg average. This corresponds to 121 g / km CO2 and a £ 110 annual road tax bill. Even the most expensive A-class to run - the AMG A45 hot hatchback (which we have reviewed separately) manage a little more than 40mpg, but with CO2 emissions of 162g / km
It is fairly well equipped. the entry SE model also come with even with alloy wheels, air conditioning, cruise control, part-LED rear lamps, Bluetooth and a seven-inch infotainment screen. However, when you get to the head, the equipment variants, or a bit thrilled with the extensive option list, then the A-Class can be very expensive rather quickly.

Unfortunately, the A-Class is not quite as good as to drive most of its competitors, either. There is not as much as the rear-drive BMW 1 Series entertain - the steering is a bit too vague and there are slim too much body - but it's also not as comfortable as the Audi A3. In fact, give larger 18 or 19-inch wheels, or go for something more sporty AMG Line trim level and the drive can be very firm indeed.
security should not look much of a concern if you're performing an A-class to the purchase. Euro NCAP awarded the full five stars for safety and standard equipment is as comprehensive as you would expect from a Mercedes. Reliability should not be too much of a concern, either owners come Satisfaction Survey with the A-class 59th from 150 cars in this discipline in our 2016 Driver Power.
