"The Mirai is tremendously innovative and good to drive, but the tears in the eyes Price and the very limited hydrogen infrastructure in Britain closes all but the early adopters committed for now. "
If you want a hydrogen car in the UK, the new Toyota Mirai is one of only two options for now (the other is the Hyundai ix35). The Toyota Prius pioneer of hybrid technology in the mid-nineties and Toyota hopes the Mirai can do the same for clean hydrogen power -. Mirai also means "future" in Japanese

the Mirai actually will be driven by electric motors, but generated its power by mixing oxygen with hydrogen from the car fuel tank, rather than being pulled as in a conventional electric vehicle from a battery. Toyota says the Mirai costs about half as much as a normal diesel car to run and should be able to cover about 300 miles of hydrogen with a single tank.
It feels similar to a normal electric car to drive, with all of the 335 nm Auto torque available the instant you prod the accelerator. It is also convenient, thanks to a soft ride, and very well treated. And even with an almost silent electric motor under the hood there are no excessive wind or tire roar heard in the cabin, thanks to Toyota's use of acoustic glass and foam insulation.

There is only one trim level available , with standard kit including touchscreen navigation, heated rear seats, automatic emergency braking and blind-spot monitoring. Size to the Mirai close to something like the Ford Mondeo
price is the biggest stumbling block for the Mirai at the moment. It is listed at a very steep £ 66,000 (but also to lease for £ 750 per month, maintenance, tires and fuel contains). The Mirai least qualifies for a grant from the Office for Low Emission Vehicles, the price reductions of £ 4,500, but it is still expensive. The other major problem is that there are very few hydrogen filling stations in the UK: only four at the moment, two more on the way in the early 2016.
