"The Toyota Avensis is a comfortable, safe and reliable highway cruiser remote, but it's a long way the best sedans in the market."

life for the Toyota Avensis has intensified in recent years with the arrival of new versions of the Ford Mondeo, VW Passat and Mazda 6 which is quite an appeal of fine cars -. especialy the conventional family sedan class is where the Avensis sitting shrinking as buyers switch SUVs like the Nissan Qashqai crossover
However, if you like the idea of a traditional sedan with a boat (there is an Avensis estate, also) then the Toyota Avensis was on the list of options.

There is certainly a safe car, five stars out of five tests awarded in Euro NCAP crash. It has a good reliability record, even though Toyota have besmirched his reputation a little, recent recalls. Primarily though, the Avensis is a prefect car for high kilometer highway drivers thanks to its quiet motors and supple suspension. However, if you are looking for a little more fun at the wheel, you had better look elsewhere - the Mazda 6, for example,
There is a choice of three engines: two diesel and one petrol .. The latter is a 1, 8-liter, which returns a claimed 47mpg and emits 139 g / km CO2 for £ 130 annual road tax. However, the 1.6-liter diesel is our pick for its superior 67.2mpg economy and £ 20-a-year tax bill. The only real drawback is its slow acceleration - you have to make hard work decent progress
The second diesel in the range is a 2.0-liter, but here economy falls to 62.7mpg .. His 0 -62mph acceleration time is a good deal better than the 1.6-liter (9.5 seconds compared to a rather lackluster 11.4).

The three main trim levels - Active, Business Edition and Excel - bring quantities of equipment to rise. The basic active feels a little monotonous with manual air conditioning and little metal wheels. For the best balance of price and specifications, we recommend Business Edition trim mid-level. That brings around 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic air conditioning, satellite navigation, DAB digital radio and power windows.
Regardless of trim level, the Avensis is a spacious car front and rear and has a good-size boat. It comes with a soothing five-year / 100,000-mile warranty, too. It might not be the last word in the family saloons, but it has to do the basics properly, a good mix of decent fuel economy, offers a comfortable ride, strong reliability and (trim in Excel) a lot of equipment.
