Suzuki SX4 S- Cross SUV ->

"The Suzuki SX4 S-Cross crossover has efficient petrol and diesel engines and a good price-performance ratio."

Suzuki SX4 S-Cross SUV

The Suzuki SX4 S-Cross the standard SX4 replaces Suzuki range and is the first real entry of company in the crossover market. That is, it goes head-to-head with existing crossover as the Kia Sportage, Nissan Qashqai and Skoda Yeti. It is available with either front-wheel drive for lower operating costs or all-wheel drive for extra grip and is powered by 1.6-liter petrol or diesel engines. You can also choose between a manual or automatic transmission

go randomely that Suzuki is surprisingly fun to dive -. It handles well and has a lot of grip - but the trade-off is a little hard drive. The SX4 S-Cross is not quite as refined as its main competitors either, as the motors can be noisy, but they improve at lower speeds when crossing the. We would go for the diesel, because it is both powerful and economical.

Each model has many devices and the running costs are low, even for all-wheel drive models, which makes the S-Cross a good family rounder. There are four different trim levels: SZ3, SZ4, SZ-T and SZ5 and five- and six-speed manual transmission. A CVT automatic is an option with certain versions, but the DCT dual clutch automatic is a far better choice.

Suzuki AllGrip wheel drive system is on the higher spec SZ-T and SZ5 models available, though we would recommend it if you really need the extra support, because it is expensive and increases fuel consumption.

The entry SZ3 version comes with alloy wheels, electric windows, cruise control and manual air conditioning, while the SZ-T is very well equipped and adds the likes of Navi, reversing sensors, Bluetooth phone connectivity and DAB Digital Radio. The top-of-the-range SZ5 trim level includes heated leather seats, a big sliding panoramic sunroof and LED daytime running lights.

Our choice is the SX4 S-Cross SZ4 1.6-liter DDiS diesel, which has and a six-speed manual gearbox with front wheel drive. This version is a good balance between the devices and the fuel consumption and adds desirable extras on the entry level such as air conditioners. Also, the diesel engine more mid-range performance than the gasoline and low fuel consumption and emissions. Wheel drive prevention keeps costs low, even while the six-speed manual transmission is much better than the CVT automatic, which can be quite noisy.

Do not think you get a full running on off-roader with the SX4 S-Cross, because the all-wheel drive versions will not look the same from a Land Rover on muddy terrain. The two-wheel drive is cheaper to buy and to run, so it is definitely the best bet.

" the steering is light, but fortunately well and the handling is very neat for a car in this class. However, one can not be said for the ride. low speed bumps expose a lack of composure and the damping is too hard for a family car. "
4 / 5
"Surprisingly sympathetic when matt-looking compact SUV. Comfortable and spacious cabin, but not the last word in style. Good diesel engine and six-speed transmission, but gasoline lacks punch. "
3 / 5
"While it might be cheap, it is let down by its bumpy ride, limited rear headroom and cheap- feeling cabin. If you find an extra, the Qashqai and Yeti are rounded family cars. "
