"It is spacious, well equipped and offers strong price-performance ratio, but the Chevrolet Cruze can not do justice to all the promise of its name - it is too uncomfortable. "
The Chevrolet Cruze sedan, a compact family car was intended more like a big car feel while only costs as much as a small. It has the interior, standard equipment and exterior dimensions of a Ford Focus, but a list price closer to a Ford Fiesta subcompact.
was in 08 the Cruze in the Volkswagen Jetta and Skoda Octavia was targeted and used many of the same parts as the Opel Astra. But that was not enough to turn the fortunes of its manufacturer, Chevrolet leading cars in Britain to stop selling so that you only buy a used Cruze today.

MPG, Rates & CO2 runs
-
There is a five-year warranty and purchase prices are low
the 123bhp 2.0-liter diesel engine in the Cruze sedan fuel economy of 62.7mpg returns while emitting 117g / km CO2. This means annual road tax and insurance will not be very much, but the fuel consumption figure is only an average. That sounds like a good deal, but the catch with the Cruze is that resale value on the used car market are very low.

motors, drive & Performance
-
not bad, but of rival outclassed
The Cruze sedan comes only with a 123bhp 1.7-liter diesel engine with a six ~~ POS = TRUNC manual transmission, but it is Just do not drive a lot of fun. It is certainly responsive and composed through corners, but you do not get a lot of feedback through the steering wheel, you feel leaves separated from the car.
slim body is held in corners to a minimum, however, and the car never feels out of your control. At the end of the Cruze sedan is not so bad to drive, but it just does not seem interesting enough, or entice away from any of its competitors.

Interior & Comfort
-
The suspension is not very smooth
ride quality in the Cruze is uneven because of the too solid suspension of the car: it wriggles actually when driving over bumpy roads, so that you constantly be alert , steering tiny adjustments in your intended direction keep.
the big car feel Chevrolet promised unfortunately applies only to the interior, with sheer space seemed the focus of the company to have been. In compariosn total comfort and luxury are not that great, audibly with too much wind noise inside and the engine always quite noisy on motorways.
, the driving position is decent Fortunately, with good reach-and rake adjustment to the steering wheel. The view from the back is also pretty good for a saloon car.
-
practicality & trunk
-
of boot is a reasonable size, but the opening is narrow
In this area, the Cruze is very similar to the Opel Astra, with which it shares many parts. There is to offer 450 liters of luggage space, but the opening is too narrow, making bulky items awkward loading
Split-folding rear seats are standard, allowing you to extend the trunk a little, but not to the same extent as possible in the hatchback Cruze. Rear legroom is fine, but the sedan roofline reduces leeway pretty much as high adults find it difficult to get comfortable.
The narrow dimensions and large central tunnel makes it difficult, in three adults fit back, especially very cramped with the footwell of the middle seat. The hatchback model is much more practical and is what we would recommend.

reliability and safety
-
Questionable reliability, but safe enough
Chevrolet of not in our driver power 2012 customer satisfaction survey with went 20 of 32 brands in the 2013 manufacturers chart ranking. The Cruze itself has function not in the top 150 car that year, but the Astra on which it is based came the 103rd who does not inspire confidence.
The interior is well built and feels safe permanent, while the Opel Insignia-inspired dashboard is actually quite upscale, with an attractive center console and blue-backed dials. Why so much of it is made of matt gray materials is not clear, but while some of the plastics feel cheap and nasty. Having said that, quality has taken a big leap compared to other Chevrolets that we drove.
In terms of safety, front, side and curtain airbags, anti-lock brakes, electronic stability control and ISOFIX child seat mounting points as standard. The Cruze was also awarded the maximum five stars in Euro NCAP crash tests.

price, price-performance ratio and options

Many devices in the only model
with only one model in the range, the Cruze sedan can not really compete with its competitors or the hatchback on price. There are a decent amount of equipment and accessories to offer the sedan at least: you get all round electric windows, automatic headlights, automatic wipers, a start-stop system, automatic climate control, fog lamps, electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors, a six-speaker CD Players mounted with USB port and steering wheel controls, navigation, a rearview camera and 17-inch alloy wheels. Electronic stability control is over the range of the standard as six airbags.
