"The new Volvo V0 is the latest - and probably largest - in a long line of great executive stands that the brand has an almost think synonymous with. "
a typical Volvo and what is the first image that pops into your head? Chances are it's a big, edgy suits. The new Volvo V0 estate - the last entry of the company in the class with him is indeed - certainly met the "great" part of the brief. We would not say it's edgy, though -. In fact, we think it is one of the best-looking big combos to
It's just about the same as the equally handsome S0 sedan at the front, with the same 'Thor's Hammer' LED lights, the same broad concave front grille with the huge "Iron Mark 'Volvo badge in the center. Unusually the V0 estate is actually slightly shorter than the sedan Volvo S0, on which it is based (although it is still nearly five feet long), while the additional length of the roofline makes it look longer than its sedan sibling, as the additional rear window does. Little are surprisingly the tail lights differ from those of the sedan, mimics the XC0 SUV that they run the rear roof pillars before the familiar "C" shape form seen on the S0 and XC0.

inside the V0 is pretty much identical to its sedan sibling. The center console is a large nine-inch tablet-style touch screen Sensus infotainment system dominates, of which most of the features of the car are controlled. There are a few buttons and controls under that some media control functions, among others. Two large vents flanking the screen while you can specify a 12.3-inch digital display instead of the traditional instrument binnacle. Everything is quite easy to use, easy to understand with all the controls and get used to
Compare the new Volvo V0 to its competitors -. Like the BMW 5 Series Touring, Mercedes E-Class Estate, Jaguar XF Sports Brake and Audi A6 - and you will find it usually leaves a positive impression. While it is not the largest boot in its class, its 560-liter cargo space (with the rear seats up) is approximately at the level of its competitors in terms. Fold down and you get 1,526 liters, behind the likes of the 5 Series Touring, the A6 Avant and way behind the forthcoming new E-Class is pretty far, all of which have more than 1,0 liters with the rear seats, the rear seats below.
Like the S0 sedan, with which it shares so much, the V0 is powered by a couple of 2.0-liter four ~~ POS = TRUNC diesel engines, either 187 or 232bhp produce, depending on whether you are. for the D4 or D5 version The fuel consumption and running costs are to manage approximately the same level the rest of the class, with the less powerful version return 62.8mpg and 57.6mpg D5 combined.

of D4 £ 30 per year tax is thanks to CO2 emissions of 119g / km cost, which in turn equate to a 23% benefit-in-kind (BiK) car tax rating companies. The more powerful D5 manages 129g / km CO2, which represents a £ 110 tax bill for private buyers, while company car drivers will post be held liable for a 25% BiK.
In terms of performance, the 187bhp D4 manages 0-62mph in 8.5 seconds while the 232bhp D5 wise use "Power Pulse" technology to wind its turbocharger faster, it helps the car from 0 -62mph accelerate in just 7.2 seconds. The D4 is equipped with front-wheel drive only, while the more powerful D5 series gets four-wheel drive. Both use the same eight-speed automatic transmission as XC0 SUV.
A super-efficient and super-clean T8 plug-in hybrid is also on the way, promising CO2 emissions of less than 50 g / km and fuel efficiency in the hundreds of miles per gallon. How achievable these numbers will remain in real conditions to be seen, but they are. It is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine with electric power connect a total of 400 hp give or so.
Unlike the BMW 5 Series Touring, the Volvo V0 is very focused on a comfortable ride and offer calm, serene progress, rather than thrill in the corners. That's not to say it's bad to drive -. Only that it is a little softer and rolls a little more in the corners as something like the 5 Series Touring or XF Sports Brake
There are two trim levels for the V0 - Momentum and signs - and standard equipment is as comprehensive as on find the S0. Leather upholstery, heated front seats, LED headlights, dual-zone automatic climate control and navigation system are all standard. Voice control, Internet access, a powered bootlid and access to Internet applications are also available on all models, as Volvo-pilot's Assist semi-autonomous driving system makes the car a set keep your distance from the car in front of automatically and within its lane at speeds of up to 80 mph.

Even if Euro NCAP has not crash -testeten the V0 yet, we're pretty confident it will get a glowing report, as well as a five-star rating. It is based on the same mechanical underpinnings as the five-star rating XC0 SUV and will receive the same comprehensive safety equipment. Volvo has also stated that it aims to be for no one by the year or by a new Volvo seriously injured or killed, 2020 is a bold promise, but look at the track record of the company and the amount of the security package its cars come up with, it is not hard to believe.
We are a little less confident about reliability, however. Despite Volvo pretty impressive 13th place (out of 32) Finish in our 2016 Driver Power owner satisfaction survey, there are concerns about the reliability, while the V0, S0 and XC0 are using every few fairly new technology that is yet to be demonstrated.
