"Despite its SUV pretentions, is the Ford EcoSport not extremely practical. Factor in a disappointing driving experience and unimpressive fuel economy and you have to with a car left, the hard drive is recommended. "

Ford EcoSport SUV

the Ford EcoSport should be a great car. It is built with a formula for success: Take a small car - in this case, the excellent Ford Fiesta - somewhat clunky add styling and jack up the ride height. What are you left with, in theory, is a car that offers easy access and high visibility of an SUV, and the running costs of the small car. It worked well with cars like the Renault Captur, Nissan Juke and Peugeot 08 but, somehow, even if it looks the part, the EcoSport missed the base of these cars enjoyed benefits.

Ford EcoSport the offers with a diesel and two petrol engines. The diesel offers reasonable fuel consumption of 64.2mpg and costs just £ 30 per year in road tax, but it is slow, lackluster take a 0-62mph 14 seconds. The Renault Captur, when equipped with a similar engine is not only cheaper and faster to buy, but it creates almost 80mpg and is exempt from road tax.

The petrol engines of the EcoSport include a 110bhp 1.5-liter and a turbocharged 1.0-liter, with either 123 or 138bhp. No one is very fast - the more powerful 1.0-liter takes 11.8 seconds from 0-62mph to go - while the best economy from a petrol fueled EcoSport 52.3mpg is expected. Vehicle tax is also quite high for a car of this type, with the base 1.5-liter petrol engine costs £ 145 per year and the 1.0-liter petrol to create a £ 125 bill.

on the road, the EcoSport disappoints in general, especially when compared to the Fiesta. It's okay in the city where the light control light and the motors have sufficient power makes maneuvering; But on the open road, the engines lack power is noticeable, while provoking corners make lean and bad road conditions wiggle the EcoSport noticeable body and bounce uncomfortable

The things a little better inside :. be an SUV EcoSport is an upright sitting position, which has a decent head and legroom. The dashboard design is useful and easy to use, but some can for a more modern look want. The EcoSport boot is its Achilles heel. While a reasonable size, it is accessed by a side-hinged door. This old-fashioned arrangement is difficult to open, and if you have reversed into a parking space, you'll probably have to pull forward to open the boot.

Order a EcoSport is a fairly simple process, as there are only three trim levels available. The entry Zetec car comes with 16-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, all-round electric windows and a leather steering wheel. Titan Panel brings keyless entry and go, automatic lights and wipers, cruise control and partial leather seats. Titanium S adds black alloy wheels, a black roof and lowered sports suspension. Note that if you want the 138bhp 1.0-liter petrol engine, it is with Titanium S trim is only available.

The EcoSport scored four out of five stars in the Euro NCAP safety rating. While this looks unimpressive when compared to the five star Renault Captur offers EcoSport strong occupant protection, but was let by poor pedestrian and safety assist scores down. In terms of reliability, Ford came 27th out of 32 carmakers in our 2016 Driver Power customer satisfaction survey during the EcoSport in large enough numbers to have sold not individually identified. The feast on which it is based came 105th out 150 cars, but.

The Ford EcoSport gives the brand an important position in the booming small SUV sector. It feels in places at risk, but there are plans, it constantly develop and improve them competitive. It is well equipped and decent to drive, but the 1.0 EcoBoost version is not refined or economic choice.
