The Peugeot 308 GTi is a performance-oriented version of the standard Peugeot 308 sedan. It is from 0-62mph in just 6.2 seconds, but nearly 50mpg back. It competes with the excellent Ford Focus ST and Volkswagen Golf GTI, while a "mature" approach to offering the hot hatch experience as cars like the Honda Civic Type R and Renault Renault Megane.

Even in the less powerful 247bhp form but the 308 GTi faster on paper than either the Golf GTI or Focus ST; it is also generously equipped. All models are equipped with satellite navigation system, DAB radio, Bluetooth, cruise control, a rearview camera and sport seats.
Peugeot has intentionally taken a subtle approach to the 308 GTi styling, so there is sporty details inside and outside (such as the subtle body kit and red-stitched steering wheel), but the overall effect is a car that its performance credentials quietly wearing. This will appeal to some, but drivers who would rather make a statement, the Honda Civic Type R check-out a very sporty design should.

Regardless of whether you choose the 247 or 266bhp model that returns 308 GTi 47.1mpg and emits 139 g / km CO2, for an annual road tax bill of £ 130. While no one buys a hot hatch with frugality in mind (and in sporty driving the economy will see FIG increasingly theoretical are) the 308 GTi is more efficient than many similar vehicles; the less powerful Volkswagen Golf GTI is one of the few competitors that can match it for fuel.

on the road is the 308 GTi quite pleasant to drive any real hot hatchback and feels duty. It has lower and stiffer suspension than the standard 308 hatchback, while a wider 'track' (the distance between the left and right wheels) provides extra grip and makes the car almost like a go-kart feeling to drive.
Both the 250 GTi and 270 GTi are with Sport Pack Peugeot drivers who (if enabled) pumps the handling still a synthesized engine note within and sharpens on. The system works well and makes the 308 GTi driving even more appealing.

Whichever camp you, is in the fall, the 308 GTi certainly well equipped. You get a touchscreen infotainment and navigation system with Bluetooth connectivity and DAB radio, cruise control, dual-zone air conditioning and automatic lights and wipers.
The small steering wheel is likely to divide opinion: you tend to look meant about than to see through them the dials. Find Most drivers it works well, but if you larger or smaller than average, it is worth checking that you do not find it obscures the speedometer.
