"The BMW Z4 is stylish and good to drive, but it is slow to feel and from the lack of a diesel option limits its appeal. "

two-seater convertibles have always been desirable, and the BMW Z4 is a stylish example of this type of car , As the Mercedes SLC has the Z4 a folding metal roof, which adds a welcome dose of practicality and safety - if you park your car, especially at night in the street. If you're happy has a convertible with a fabric roof, the Audi TT Roadster's closest competitor Z4, while the Mazda MX-5 is a great car, if your budget is a little smaller. Likewise, the Porsche 718 Boxster great attraction if you have to spend a little more.
While the Audi and Mercedes are having a diesel engine available, the BMW Z4 gasoline is. The engines of the Z4 are smooth and good performance, but the lack of a more economical diesel model of the Z4 is not for everyone mean thing. It is also noted that this version of the Z4 is has been established since 09 and the production will end shortly. This means that nearly new examples were soon to be awarded attractive at BMW dealers.
The Z4 range starts with the 154bhp 2.0-liter sDrive18i, the 41.5mpg returns, costs £ 185 per year in taxes from and gets from 0-62mph in 7.9 seconds. The sDrive20i and sDrive28i feature the same 2.0-liter gasoline engine, but each produce 181 and 251bhp; each shaves one second off the 0-62mph time when economy and emissions identical for all three of these engines.

at the top of the engine range are the 302bhp sDrive35i and sDrive35is 335bhp. Unlike the other cars in the Z4 lineup this offer from BMW velvety six-cylinder engines, which are strong enough to get the car from 0-62mph in just 5.2 or 4.8 seconds. These models are more expensive than the cheapest Z4, however, and are also to run expensive, costing £ 295 per year in road tax and return at 30mpg.
On the road, the well runs Z4, even if it is not as involved as the peerless Porsche to drive 718 Boxster. Body is slim negligible, the steering responds quickly and accurately. Inputs and the manual transmission (standard in all but the top-spec sDrive35is) is a joy to use
Inside, the dashboard built using high quality materials and all works with soothing solidity. The overall design reveals the age of the Z4, however: it is not as smooth or modern is newer BMWs in it, and feels decidedly against the Audi TT Roadster dated. There are a decent amount of space for two adults and the 310-liter trunk gives the Z4 with adequate functionality, although the roof lowering to 130 liters shrinks its size.
All Z4s come with leather seats, alloy wheels, air conditioning, automatic wipers and lights, and Bluetooth connectivity. The sDrive35i has power seats, upgraded interiors and metallic paint, while the top-spec sDrive35is 18-inch alloy wheels and has an automatic transmission as standard. M Sport trim is expensive at nearly £ 4000, although this one gets a plusher interior, upgraded suspension, a sporty bodykit and sports seats. The Z4 was said by Euro NCAP safety assessment program last year, a little disappointing three out of five stars scoring.
