"The Nissan Micra is outclassed by most competitors, but its low price, spacious interior and easy driving experience to address still."

now been The Nissan Micra name for over three decades on our roads, and in that time has a loyal following built. Low operating costs, mean predictable handling and impressive functionality for a car of its size, it is easy to see why the Micra is a popular choice.
Much can in 30 years does not change, however, and although he. In its fourth generation to be, the current Micra is facing a tough competition that it can not be quite fair The Volkswagen Polo is far more elegant and feels better made during the Ford Fiesta infinitely better to drive. Relative newcomers like the Hyundai i20 and Kia Rio also offer buyers a better driving experience, as well as impressive warranties.
In such companies, the somewhat frumpy Micra feels a little outclassed, but it has a trump have his sleeves: it is around £ 2,000 cheaper than most of its direct competitors. It's true, if you want modern amenities like air conditioning, cruise control or even a split-folding rear seat, you have to spend more money than this low base price, but many buyers will be attracted to, how much of the Micra offers for the money.

Nissan offers only a 1.2 liter gasoline engine with the Micra, with either 78 or 97bhp. While the omission of a diesel may seem strange, the more powerful engine has a diesel fuel consumption of 68.9mpg rival and road tax free thanks to its low CO2 emissions. In truth, the Micra is likely to be used mainly for short trips or as a city car, so the lack of a diesel engine is not the handicap it seems at first.
Unless you're really after automatic Micra, we recommend the manual version, such as automatic CVT transmission makes driving the car loud and unpleasant, and it is also much less efficient than the manual model ,
on the road, the Micra great visibility, lighting controls and a small turning circle, so it's a remarkably easy to drive by car to the city. Outside the urban settings, things are less encouraging: The Micra is quite noisy during the suspension effected on the open road, that there is too much to hop on bad roads and wiggle. The Ford Fiesta offers a greater range of skills and a lot of fun.
While the Nissan Micra slightly chubby and unimpressive looks in metal, the top of this functional design is that it spacious and light inside, with plenty of headroom and legroom if the front and back. Unfortunately, the space is not in the shoe worn over, which is not as great as it should be. The elimination of Split-folding rear seats from the entry-level trim seems like excessive stingy, also.
can chooseMicra customers from six trim levels, starting with Visia and rising by Vibe, Acenta, Acenta Connect, N-Tec and the top-spec Tekna. While Visia has electric front windows, Bluetooth and a USB port, we recommend the Acenta or Acenta Connect trims. Acenta adds powered mirrors, driver seat height adjustment, automatic climate control, cruise control, alloy wheels and a roof spoiler, while the Micra Acenta Connect a touchscreen navigation unit for around £ 500 sat longer than the Acenta.
N-TEC and Tekna Micras are very well equipped cars. They both have parking sensors with a 'Parking Slot Measurement' system, automatic air conditioning, automatic headlights and rain-sensing wipers, while the Tekna suede trim and keyless start has back. All this pushes the price Micra top top, though, and a similarly priced (though less well equipped) Volkswagen Polo is likely to hold its value much better than a Micra with all the bells and whistles.
With respect to the safety of the Nissan Micra scored four out of five stars in Euro NCAP crash tests. While this is by no means a bad score succeeded many other cars in this class the full five stars. The standard of the Micra electronic stability control, anti-lock brakes, six airbags and ISOFIX child seat attachment points, however, should provide reassurance. Nissan rock-solid reputation for reliability has taken a fall in recent years, as the 28th place of 32 manufacturers in our most recent driver Power survey confirms customer satisfaction.
