the Kia pro_cee'd GT performance-oriented version of the standard three ~~ POS = TRUNC pro_cee'd hatchback is pitched in the Volkswagen Golf GTI and Ford Focus ST square. It is only in a (very well equipped) trim level, but it is more expensive than the faster Focus ST, while the Golf GTI is also faster and remains a far more desirable car.

Even as Kia first hot hatchback, the pro_cee'd GT is a qualified success. Sports suspension makes it more fun on twisty roads than the standard pro_cee'd, yet also does a good job of you to isolate from rough roads and potholes. Although it is available as a three-door only available (even if the five-door Kia Cee'd GT is mechanically similar), this seat is a pretty practical car, thanks to a rather large boat and large doors that provide access to the back easily. The pro_cee'd GT also benefits from Kia class leading a seven year warranty, while Kia better than either Ford or Volkswagen in our 2016 Driver Power customer satisfaction survey.

While a small engine equipped with turbocharger tends an impressive blend of performance and economy to offer and the pro_cee'd 'd GT-Turbo 1.6-liter produces adequate 201bhp, its fuel consumption of 38.2mpg and CO2 emissions of 170 g / km less impressive.
Volkswagen Golf GTI, for example, is more powerful than the pro_cee'd 'd GT, yet returns almost 10mpg better economy. The pro_cee'd GT is also located in the same insurance group as the Golf GTI, although it is a slower and less powerful car.
On a positive note, Kia Care 3 program means that you buy three years' maintenance of a fixed price of 399 £, while five years cover £ 749 comes in at. Both plans are likely to save money compared to standard maintenance costs.

There is a similar story with power , The pro_cee'd GT goes from 0-62mph in 7.3 seconds, and a top speed of 143 mph - impressive numbers in isolation but underwhelming in context: Both the Ford Focus ST and Volkswagen Golf GTI go from 0-62mph in only 6 ,5 seconds . It could uncouth appear on the pro_cee'd GT for such a minimal difference in speed to pick up, but drivers who are usually defined benefit tailgates select about such things and Kia's just not as fast to worry as his direct competitors.
for pro_cee'd GT its due, even if passed, it will be a pleasant and easy to drive by car - even if the Golf GTI and Focus ST are ultimately more fun. The steering is a little light, but it feels precise and provides a good amount of feedback so that you know how much grip have the front wheels. The pro_cee'd GT suspension now offers a good blend of comfort on bad road conditions and minimal body lean in corners. There is also a GT key that a synthesized engine note pressed on pipes in the car through the speakers. It's a nice touch that can appeal to drivers keen, although we would ask ourselves, how many people will actually use.

The dashboard feels well built and has some nice sporty touch

While the pro_cee'd GT largely the same dashboard as the standard has pro_cee'd, Kia has a few nice touches this performance version added to highlight. Half-leather Recaro sports seats (which also makes seats for rally cars) together with red stitching wear on the steering wheel for a sporty yet subdued air, while the digital dials include performance and increase graphs that have a certain novelty factor. These Recaro seats are quite hard, but they also have pronounced side bolsters to keep you safe and feel comfortable over long distances.

Large doors and a fairly large boots make pro_cee'd GT a practical proposition
While the pro_cee'd GT dark headliner and the small rear window could feel cramped rear passengers, there is actually a good amount of head and legroom in the rear. Passenger get a lot of space, while the large doors and the ability to easily always to skid the front seats forward a button manufacturing in the back, even if it is a three-door. Tight parking can prove a challenge, however, as these doors have to open wide. If you regularly carry more than one passenger, you're probably better off looking at the Kia Cee'd GT, which has five doors and is only about £ 500 more expensive than the three-door.
