"The Lexus LS is comfortable, well equipment and very reliable. It is one of the most luxurious sedans around, but the top-spec model is expensive and the LS is not a car for driving enthusiasts. "

the Lexus LS flagship of the Lexus range was launched over 20 years ago and was last Regardless of which model you are interested to look at, it is the entry level petrol or flagship hybrid comes the LS with many devices as a standard in 2013, updated and offers passengers large amounts of space. All versions are extremely comfortable, even in F Sport trim.
determined the hybrid LS 0h model as Executive Limousine with green credentials. It can pure electric glide through the city, but also the way to 62 mph from a standstill in 6.1 seconds Power when you put your foot down. In reality, the pure petrol LS 460 is almost as efficient as the hybrid model and it is £ 25,000 cheaper, so it's hard to recommend it on purely financial reasons.
The latest version of the LS is more conspicuous than previous models and quality construction and interior luxury stay more than well done enough to compete with cars from Jaguar and Mercedes. Lexus has a reputation for excellent reliability. Standard LS models come with plenty of kit, get with F-Sport models larger alloy wheels and a simple body kit.

expensive LS 0h hybrid is expensive to run
thanks mainly to its huge size and weight, used the Lexus LS 0h much fuel despite its hybrid drive setup. The profits are made. By an electric motor with a gasoline engine in a vehicle of the LS of the mass of the support are fairly minimal and improvements to the running costs are very high price for the car in the shade The official economy figure for the LS 0h is 32.8mpg, but on the open road, the 5.0-liter V8 car drags this number much lower, which make the sensible choice LS 460 petrol model.
The car is to insure not cheap or support, but Lexus has an excellent reliability record, so should not the LS to keep cost too much.

motors, drive & Performance
-
Fast and refined, but sloppy display lets down the LS
There are only two engines in Lexus flagship to choose from: a 4.6-liter petrol LS 460 and 5 , 0 -litre LS 0h gasoline-electric hybrid. The former the old LS 400 replaces and is in Luxury and F Sport trim available, do in just 5.7 seconds 0-62mph. It feels very fast in a straight line, but competitors such as the BMW 7 Series and Audi A8 offer similar performance with more driver enjoyment thanks to a firmer ride and responsive steering.
Elsewhere the expensive LS 0h hybrid with long wheelbase Premier specification comes and comes standard with all-wheel drive, to give it a lot of grip. There is no escaping the fact this is a long, heavy car that, if they can be awkward and unstable feel driven quickly. Add in the slow and hesitant CVT automatic and you realize this is a car more suitable for long motorway journeys than narrow country roads.

Interior & Comfort

Refined , quiet and comfortable, is the LS exceptionally smooth
This is the trump card for the LS. It offers an exceptionally smooth ride and is extremely relaxing, rivaling the class leading Mercedes S-class passenger comfort. There is virtually no wind or road noise and if the LS 0h hybrid select in pure electric mode up to 30 mph can drive. However, the hybrid uses a noisy CVT automatic, while the LS 460 gasoline more conventional eight-speed automatic has a standard.
ride quality is excellent in all models, but the soft suspension makes compromise driver enjoyment somewhat. However footwell is spacious and if you select the top-of-the-range long-wheelbase car, get electrically dormant rear seats for excellent comfort.

practicality & trunk
-
The electric motor eats boot, but cab is spacious and LS can practically park
The standard Lexus LS has a decent 560-liter boot. Compare that to the 510-liter Audi A8 and 500-liter BMW 7 Series and it looks like a practical executive car with decent interior, too. However plump for the hybrid version with a long wheelbase and although there is plenty of space in the back, the boat shrink only 420 liters to accommodate the battery pack under the trunk floor.
Inside there is a reasonable selection of cubbyholes and a pair of large door bins, and a lot of customization for the well padded leather seats. In the car with a long wheelbase, get Liege rear seats that feel LS more like a business-class airliner than a car.

reliability and safety
-
Extremely well built, with plenty of safety kit
a total of 10 airbags, electronic stability control and a monitoring system tire pressure are safety package part of the Lexus LS. The adaptive cruise control mantains before a safe distance to the car, while a pre-crash sensor system, the car for a collision prepared before it actually happens. A lane departure warning is also available. This warns if the car turns off the road -. Useful at highway speeds
Lexus has a good reputation for reliability, consistently good owner also end in our drivers Power satisfaction survey. Although the LS itself is not due to its relative exclusivity has function, the manufacturer completed a total for the first time in 2013

more expensive than rivals, but standard equipment is good
The LS is very expensive, and can be a more traditionally desirable have luxury car - such as a Jaguar XJ or Mercedes S-class - for less money. The trade-off is that you do not get nearly as much standard equipment such as Lexus. Its datasheet lists all voice-activated navigation system electric rear blinds and air-conditioned seats. There is virtually nothing missing, so optional equipment is limited.
values Lexus LS used are not good, with the top-spec LS 0h hybrid likely to shed value quickly because of its prohibitively high price list. Leasing deals are worth a look, but we recommend the "entry-level" LS 460 gasoline if Value is top of your priority list.
