"The Chevrolet Cruze SW is a practical estate, the majors on place and value."

Under the skin, was the Chevrolet Cruze estate pretty much the same as the Opel Astra Sports Tourer estate. It competes with the Hyundai i30 Tourer and Volkswagen Golf Estate in the small car market family. We say, "competed," because from 2015, you can no longer buy a trap for sale in the United Kingdom as a result of the decision Chevrolet cars in Europe.
The Chevrolet Cruze SW was with a choice of four engines available, but we would recommend going for the 1.7-liter diesel VCDi because it provided decent fuel available and felt on the road carefully.
not brilliant compareinterior in terms of space when was compared to other items, but Chevrolet generous with the equipment and accessories for the list price. The Chevrolet Cruze Station Wagon Estate came in three main specifications :. Entry LS, mid-range LT and top-of-the-range LTZ

MPG, Rates & CO2 runs
-
you go for the 1.7-liter diesel VCDi because other engines are not cheap to run
offered by the four engines in the Cruze SW, the most efficient is back, the 1.7-liter VCDi diesel, the fuel consumption 62.7mpg and emits 119g / km CO2. Not bad, but hardly on a par with rivals from Ford and VW. The larger 2.0-liter diesel delivers more power, but only returns 45.5mpg economy and are a hefty 164 g / km CO2 as fuel and vehicle tax bills be higher.
If you do not drive many miles on a regular basis, it may make more sense to go for the cheaper to buy petrol engines with 1.6-liter managing 44.1mpg and emits 151 g / km CO2 return. However, the downside sluggish acceleration that leaves much to be desired. All Cruze SWs come with a three-year warranty, so you do not have large repair bills for a little while to take care of after you buy.

motors, drive & Performance
- [1945078TreiberGenuss] is not a strong point, and many engines feel underpowered
The Cruze SW is not going to win any prizes, when it comes to driver enjoyment, but it is not either terrible , We would recommend the 129bhp 1.7-liter diesel engine VCDi which can take the car from 0-62mph in 10.4 seconds and feels very responsive on the road.
The 2.0-liter diesel is even faster, but only comes with an automatic transmission, which makes it quite expensive to buy and to run in the long run, especially if you do not do regular long trips , Both petrol engines can feel underpowered, would be slow and sluggish, so that neither our choice.
There are quite a lot of body lean when through the corners and the steering is too easy, so there is a limit to how much fun you can have at the wheel of the Chevrolet Cruze SW.

Interior & Comfort
-
The ride is sometimes quite bumpy, while the diesel noisy when accelerating
for the smoothest and quietest ride, you should definitely for the diesel engine 1.7 liter, although it is not quite as quiet as a Variant Volkswagen Golf when accelerating. That is, kept wind and road noise to a minimum, and the Cruze SW is fairly quiet on the highway.
But it does not have the most comfortable ride in its class, tends to get fidgety, if driving rough roads or small bumps. This is a bit offset by a large amount of seating and steering wheel adjustment that allows you to easily find a great driving position that suits them, and that is also very comfortable. There are also plenty of legroom and headroom in the front and the back.

practicality & trunk
-
of Cruze SW is very convenient, but rivals have more space in the trunk
, the SW estate is the most practical car in the Cruze range. There is plenty of space inside, with plenty of legroom in the back is, there is plenty of room for three adults squeeze only at a push it.
The boot offers 500 liters of luggage space with the rear seats in place, which is slightly less than what you in the Volkswagen Golf Estate, but the difference is hardly noticeable in reality -. and it is larger than the Ford Focus Estate boot
Fold the 60:40 split folding rear seats and expands the boat to a reasonable 1,478 liters. There are many pleasing accessories in the boat, including a hat rack with separate sections for carrying loose items - even if it is difficult to remove, and easy on the flimsy side. A low boot lip makes heavy objects easily store also
Inside there is plenty of storage cubbies and the door baskets are nice and big -. Light a 500ml bottle in hand - and there is even a map pocket of the front passenger.

reliability and safety
-
The Cruze SW is based on the Opel Astra, so should largely trouble-free be
While none of Chevrolet individual cars made it into our driver performance in 2013 customer satisfaction survey Top 150 cars to stop the not to get the brand itself make a dramatic return to the manufacturer rankings 20 many of the larger players leapfrogging. The last time, Chevrolet appeared in the list (2011) it came dead last, so this is a great improvement.
The Cruze SW on the Opel Astra Sports Tourer is based, which came in the 2013 survey 103rd, so it should be quite reliable due to the fact that it reported no major problems with the engines of Astra or technology in recent years.
inside, everything feels solid beautiful, also reinforce the feeling that the Cruze SW is a quality car that's been actually for a long life. He also secured the maximum score of five stars in Euro NCAP crash tests, comes equipped with six airbags, ISOFIX child seat attachment points, electronic stability control and antilock brakes.

Mid-spec LT models receive alloys, parking assistance, air conditioning and electric windows
you can not Chevrolet blame on the equipment of skimping and accessories for the Cruze SW, with the entry-level LS come with electric front windows, central locking, a CD player and air conditioning. A plane with the LT and you get alloy wheels and rear parking sensors. Pralle for the top-of-the-range LTZ and Navi, a reversing camera and Bluetooth phone connection are all included as standard.
In fact, you get a little more standard equipment than you. In the equivalent do Volkswagen Golf, which is slightly more expensive than the Cruze SW However, resale value on the second hand market for Chevrolets are usually not very strong, while the desirable Golf ever is a robust performer, if sold second hand.
