all-wheel drive is standard, and this is the first Audi model in the UK to get the brand new "quattro ultra technology" system, in contrast to the permanent all-wheel drive in other quattro Audi, front-wheel drive remains most of the time to send, only force the rear wheels when required. This saves fuel end reduces emissions and thus the use of "ultra" (Audi-label for its most efficient models and technology).

If you feel like an Audi A4 Allroad then you are probably looking on a four-wheel drive version of the BMW 3 Series Touring (badged xDrive) or even a Volvo V60 Cross Country. Neither Mercedes nor Jaguar really provides a direct competitor, and while the aforementioned BMW has four-wheel drive, it is not offering increased ground clearance, softer suspension and off-road styling touches than the Audi. The Skoda Octavia Scout and Volkswagen Passat Alltrack, now also off-road capability in spacious grounds form expands its offering, but for much less money than the Allroad.
There are only a few styling changes on the A4 Allroad compared to the standard A4 Avant. These include a chrome front grille, front and rear metallic effect skid plates, black plastic trim around the wheel arches and the underside of the car, as well as silver-effect side skirts and more prominent roof rails.
Most of the region is driven by diesel engines, available with only a 2.0-liter gasoline turbo, developing 247bhp. First, this is the only engine with the new setup offered "quattro with Ultra technology", although the diesel models will follow.

Speaking of diesels, there are a few of 2.0 liter - producing 148 and 187bhp respectively - and a pair of 3.0-liter V6 diesel, the administration 215 and 268bhp respectively. The 148bhp 2.0-liter will not be available immediately, however. In terms of running costs, the fuel will be the most expensive, returning 44.1mpg economy on average, while the CO2 emissions to sit at 147 g / km, a road-tax bill 145 year £ means.
The things should be cheaper with the diesels, as they return from 57.7mpg (for the 187bhp 2.0-liter) and 53.3mpg (for the most powerful V6). Similarly, the CO2 emissions from 128 to 139g / km, which means annual road tax bills either £ 110 or £ 130
Our favorite of the lot is the 187bhp 2.0-liter diesel, as to the best deals combination of performance, efficiency, operating costs and purchase price.
Full UK specifications for the A4 Allroad, it has not been confirmed, but we know that all models Air conditioning, 17-inch alloys and Audi get MMI infotainment system. Sport trim will add LED lights all around, as well as dynamic indicators (where orange lights 'Sweep' in the direction of turn), 18-inch alloys and tinted rear window.
