"The Fiat 124 Spider is stylish and fast roadster to drive is great. It is reminiscent of the golden age of Italian convertibles, with a modern touch of usability and security back. "
Fiat sports cars have something of a checkered past, with a reputation for good looks, compromise and poor reliability all in one. The Fiat Barchetta 190s is a good example; It was an attractive little roadster but was in LHD only and had a less than impressive reliability record.
The new Fiat 124 Spider was hot, but to be expected, because on paper, they have all the ingredients to be stylish but useful and reliable. This is largely due to the fact that it is based on the Mazda MX-5, it's meaning has the same solid base. The result is a good-looking car that is both fun to drive and well built.
For many people the combination of Italian design and Japanese technology is probably very appealing because of the 124 Spider should offer both flair and reliability.

Ironically, Mazda MX-5 is the Fiat 124 Spider, the obvious main rivals. Although the Lotus Elise better to drive, it's also much more expensive and much less comfortable. Similarly, the BMW Z4 is driving fun and less uncompromising than the Lotus, but it costs to buy a lot more than the Fiat and to be replaced by 2017. Another option to consider is the MINI Convertible; it is similarly priced and did not offer some small rear seats, but it is not as good to drive and is a much more common sight on British roads.
Despite the power to offer the 124 Spider should not prove more economical than you can expect. The car has traveled a 138bhp 1.4-liter petrol engine, the official fuel consumption of 44.1mpg and CO2 emissions of 148g / km for the road tax of £ 145 per year.
The 124 Spider comes with a folding fabric roof, you need to up and put down manually. This may seem outdated in addition to some of the electric soft-tops and metal hardtop on the market, but it is fast and easy to use, and more importantly, reduces both the cost and weight of the car.
[1945071derFiat124SpiderhatseineneigenenunverwechselbarenitalienischenStil] Although it will be built in Japan. The 1.4-liter turbocharged gasoline to Alfa Romeo MiTo used. Its 138bhp is enough to get the 124 Spider from 0-62mph in 7.5 seconds and makes the car feel fast. This strong performance is helped by the car lightweight and sporty handling. On the road, the 124 Spider a joy to drive. It is small and maneuverable enough to simply make maneuvering in the city and parking, but get on the open road and the spider really comes into its own, with sharp handling and a correspondingly sporty exhaust note when you rev the engine.
inside is the 124 Spider: Mazda MX-5 owners be familiar, but that's not a bad thing: the dashboard simply yet stylishly simple, with soft-touch plastic and easy to use central control for the heating and air CONDITIONING. A seven-inch touchscreen sits on top of the dashboard, and this can be controlled with a knob between the seats, making it intuitive to use on the move.
While no one is buying a two-door, two-seat convertible for trips to the landfill, the 124 Spider has a useful (if not cavernous) 140-liter boot. This has a high load lip, but it is deep and well formed and should for a couple of small suitcases or bags squashy be for a weekend enough. While the spider a glove box or door pockets is missing, there is a useful storage cubby lockable behind the rear seats for extra security and storage. The interior has also dotted a number of cupholders around, and a useful storage compartment in front of the gearlever, which is the perfect place to set your phone.

Since the Fiat 124 Spider as a new car is, it's thorough the Euro NCAP crash safety tests to go. Reassuringly, the Mazda MX-5 is it is based on managed a reasonable four out of five stars in his review - conducted under the recent and most stringent crash regulations. In terms of reliability, the 124 Spider was a reliable car. While Fiat achieved relatively poor in our 2015 Driver Power customer satisfaction survey, 24 come from 32 brands, Mazda has much better to manage a ninth place.
Even entry 124 Spiders are well equipped, and while the complete list options yet of Fiat, the excellent Bose stereo system mounted with headrest speakers to be announced, likely to be a popular option, as the Safety Pack on the MX-5.
