"The Aston Martin DB9 Volante is elegant to drive fast and extremely entertaining."
The Aston Martin DB9 Volante is the icon rival British firm Bentley Continental GTC and the Mercedes SL. The elegant lines follow the traditional Aston Martin profile, despite 60% for this model to be new. Its soft top convertible roof is easy to use and allows the DB9 its absolute best look.
The sophisticated style is only part of the story as the Volante also has a well designed interior, with hand stitched leather throughout. Then there is the powerful V12 engine and six-speed paddle-shift transmission, giving the DB9 supercar performance and a satisfying, classic motor rumbling.

Very expensive to own
The DB9 Volante can only manage 19.8mpg fuel consumption, but many owners of this car do not buy as a daily commuter to make this figure perfectly acceptable. It is easily beaten by the Mercedes SL65 AMG 28.5mpg -. And the car is faster and more powerful
The 333g / km CO2 emission of pollutants of the DB9 are actually better than the Bentley Continental GTC 384g / km, but falls quite far behind the Mercedes' 231g / km, the Aston directly the top of the vehicle tax pyramid land for an annual bill of £ 505.

Fun - even from the passenger seat
the DB9 Volante is to drive one of the best convertibles -. or even go in just the engine sound even better than the DB9 Coupe, how you can reduce the roof for a thrilling experience.
of 6.0-liter V12 produces a massive 510bhp and delivers an immediate increase in performance when you press the accelerator. Adjustable suspension ensures a comfortable ride, while the light steering makes transport easy to negotiate. Choosing the firmer Sport or Track settings gives the Volante supreme agility for a car of its size.
The standard 20-inch alloys offer a lot of grip, so you very quickly go into the corners and easily control your speed with the brilliant braking. This predictability and strong performance boosts your confidence at the wheel when driving fast. And the comfortable leather seating and quiet interior - when the roof up - it's almost making, as at lower speeds pleasant.

Interior & Comfort
-
The essence of elegance
the DB9 Volante is big on comfort, used with better materials inside than ever. Leather covers the doors, seats, dashboard and steering wheel, lining with delicate hand sewing the doors and seats for a pleasantly detailed look.
The front seats are very comfortable, but they are not so soft that you sink like an old armchair - they are well padded to keep you in place around the corners. The ride in the city is excellent and the DB9 is easy thanks go to relatively good visibility and responsive steering. It is also easy to park, thanks to a rear-view camera as standard.

practicality & trunk

space for improvement here
the Volante has the smallest boat in its class, at 187 liters, compared to the 227 liters of the DB9 coupe. The Mercedes SL65 AMG has a whopping 504 liters loading space, as well as the utility of a folding metal hardtop rather than the soft top of the DB9
The Bentley Continental GTC -. The other key rivals Volante - also has a much larger boat, at 385 liters. The Bentley also has better rear seats - the DB9 is not really big enough for adults. The dash is well laid out, though, and the roof takes a reel opening 14 seconds at speeds or close to 30mph.

components and suppliers
The latest DB9 Volante an evolution rather than a completely new model. The underpinnings - the suspension, brakes and chassis - have all been redesigned with the latest technology. The engine also has more power than before.
Aston Martin uses reputable suppliers for components, such as world-renowned Italian brand Brembo brakes, by the German company ZF for its transmission and Pirelli or Bridgestone tires have been given. Warranty is two years with unlimited mileage, but may be extended for an additional charge up to 10 years.

Very expensive to buy
The Volante is a luxury product and is correspondingly expensive. But it does offer an experience that none of its competitors can replicate directly. The Mercedes SL65 AMG will cost a whole lot more, but should influence with more space and more up-to-date technology, many buyers.
While the automatic wipers and a rear view camera on the DB9 are standard, the Bluetooth phone connection can not stream music - something even a Ford Fiesta can manage these days. All the right hardware, it is a performance GT car, but: lightweight aluminum construction, strong carbon-ceramic brakes and a powerful engine. It is let only the dated technology down, but it is still the emotional choice for some to the brand's tradition and ultra-stylish image.
