the Citroen C3 is a hatchback in the highly competitive small car class, the comfort to appeal prioritized drivers who are more interested in smooth travel to potholed, stained streets of the city as a heroic deed on winding country roads handling. This is in contrast to major competitors in this class, such as the Volkswagen Polo, Ford Fiesta, Opel Corsa and Hyundai i20, which try to be the best all-rounders. Citroen approach also means that the C3 is actually a very good highway cruiser that once you get up to speed.
This device has its downsides, the main one being that alternatives such as the Polo and Fiesta are much more enjoyable ride. These cars have firmer rides and poor road conditions may be more noticeable for its inhabitants, but also much less in corners than the C3 pitching and rolling. Although not to drive best in class, the C3 is very convenient. All models feature five doors and spacious inside. The C3 is easy to get in and out and has a relatively large boat, which opens to a particularly impressive size, if you fold the rear seats down.
The C3 is available with three petrol and two diesel engines. All petrol options have three cylinders and capable of providing at least 60mpg, while the two diesels can 80mpg above. If you are using the car for short trips in the city, the 1.2-liter Puretech 110 petrol is the best mix of performance and economy, while the envisaged frequent motorway journeys for the 1.6-liter 100 diesel engine should decide.

Three trim levels are offered at C3 buyers , ranging from entry-level VT until mid-range Edition and finally trim the top spec Platinum. Frustratingly, the best engines are only available when you trim go for Platinum, so you spend more money than you would think the best gasoline and diesel options. If you appreciate an entry level, you will have to be met with the entry-level engines.
As would be expected from the base model, standard equipment not much further expands as electric windows and mirrors, and split-folding rear seats and a radio / CD player with MP3 compatibility.
Edition adds air conditioning, alloy wheels, additional airbags, Bluetooth, cruise control, a leather steering wheel and LED daytime running lights. The rather expensive top-spec gets Platinum model a panoramic windscreen, larger alloy wheels, automatic climate control and a seven-inch touch screen with DAB radio, Bluetooth and USB port.
Citroen brand performed less than in 2016 by 32 producers brilliant in our recent surveys driver performance satisfaction, falling 20 to 26. The C3 itself was a rather average 113 0 cars in 2016, although an improvement over the previous year.
The C3 manages only four out of five stars, when tested NCAP crash of Euro. The entry-level model has ABS, electronic stability control and a tire pressure monitoring system, but testers criticized the lack of curtain airbags.
