- High operating costs
- Poor resale value
- Cramped rear seats
"The Jaguar XK is a stunning sports car, exciting offers speed, excellent handling and a comfortable ride."

The Jaguar XK is not only one of the most beautiful cars on the road, it is also driving fantastic and surprisingly comfortable. The production is now officially over, but it was not too bad aged. It has a wild 5.0-liter V8 engine, which offers a breathtaking pace straight and it handles beautifully thanks suspension that strikes a perfect balance between comfort and sportiness.
The faster Jaguar XK Dynamic R and Jaguar XKR- S versions are available for those who want more power and there is also a convertible model, if you want to feel the wind in your hair.
Regardless of which version of the XK you are interested, prepared for exorbitant fuel bills because there is no fuel-efficient cars. The rear seats are also tiny, but the complaints aside, the Jaguar is really a fantastic machine.

MPG, Rates & CO2 runs

Very expensive to tax and insure
the Jaguar XK is a performance car and is focused on speed, rather than the fuel consumption - so do not expect it to be cheap , run. Its 5.0-liter V8 engine is extremely thirsty, with official economy of 25mpg. But to be honest, you probably will fight that to meet in real conditions, if you are extremely light on the gas. They are also 264g / km CO2, it is the highest road tax band for a £ 505 years account set.
maintenance costs compared rivals are quite competitive, but you should also depreciation factor, as the Jaguar does not hold its value as well as some other sports cars. This is not so important when you're at the Keep planning your car for the long term, but if you're likely to sell it within three or four years, you can use a Mercedes SL or Porsche 911 better off - both of which depreciate slower.

motors, drive & Performance
- [1945078es] is fast, fun, and just as well at a rapid acceleration and long-distance cruising
, the main feature of any sports car is how it drives and the Jaguar XK not disappoint here. The 5.0-liter V8 petrol engine comes with either 380 or 503bhp 542bhp - but it is breathtakingly fast depending on what service you choose. The weakest version will go from 0-62mph in 5.2 seconds, while the top-spec XKR-S is a do it faster second, which is more than fast enough to keep up with all but the most exotic supercars.
The XK handles well, thanks to its lightweight body and finely tuned suspension. The engine is excellent - very responsive and satisfyingly loud. The XK is also easy to drive, with a smooth automatic transmission and an engine will cross happy at lower speeds.

Interior & Comfort
-
Comfortable but the rear seats are tight
, the Jaguar brand synonymous with luxury and comfort, so it is not very surprising that the XK possesses both qualities in spades.
was so tuned his suspension for the handling at the same time, it is a sports car. Tthe XK not glide over rough surfaces, such as the Jaguar XJ sedan is doing, but it copes much better than most other sports cars with dents.
The seats are comfortable and covered in sumptuous leather while the material quality inside is excellent. However, the rear seats are small and really only suitable for small children or as an additional space for luggage.
-
practicality & trunk
-
practicality is not one of the strengths of the XK, but it provides average space for a sports car
buyer interest in the Jaguar XK are unlikely to be excessive in the practical concern - that is, a sports car of this as not what goes. It is absolutely a 2 + 2-seater, the rear seats does not mean adults - only small children. If you want a V8-engined sports car that four adults can wear, then take a look at the 6 Maserati GranTurismo or BMW.
The XK has a reasonable size boat, but with 330 liters of storage capacity. This is more than big enough for a couple of suitcases or golf bags. It is accessed by a tailgate, it opens for the major access and facilitates loading and unloading particularly easy.
-
reliability and safety
-
The Jaguar XK is a load of Security Kit
How many sports cars, the Jaguar XK not crash-tested by Euro NCAP, making it no has official safety rating. However, it comes with many gadgets like airbags, traction control and electronic stability control, plus a clever bonnet, which opens in case of impact to protect pedestrians from injury. You can choose options such as adaptive cruise control, to improve the safety of the vehicle, also.
The XK was proved to be reliable. It sold in too few numbers in our Driver Power customer satisfaction survey to offer, but Jaguar brand came third in both 2012 and 2013 - a seriously impressive performance, showing their customers very satisfied with their cars.

price, price-performance ratio and options

Competitive prices, but suffers from rapid depreciation
there are no get is the fact that the Jaguar XK is an expensive car, but it is a very high tech and precision engineered machine. And when you see what it offers compared to competitors with similar performance, it is difficult with the proposal to argue that it is a good value.
In fact, the prices have been reduced by a whopping £ 10,000 early 2014 make the Jaguar XK Dynamic R particularly attractive (formerly the Jaguar XKR called) - as with rivals Aston Martin, Ferrari and Porsche on the level, but costs much less.
