"The Mercedes CLS is a stylish salon on the street. It has the good looks and driver appeal of a coupe, as well as some added functionality. "

If the Mercedes CLS was launched, it was one of the first four-door coupe on sale , the best parts of the Mercedes e-class sedan is combined with a more attractive body and sporty driving properties. Now, the CLS many competitors, the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe, including the Audi A7 Sportback, and even the much cheaper Volkswagen CC.
The latest version of the CLS sports a bolder design than before. There is still a wide range of engines available, though - there is a choice of two diesels and two petrol, and the possibility of four-wheel drive. The CLS 350 BlueTEC diesel is our pick of the range thanks to its combination of strong performance and low operating costs, while the top model petrol CLS 63 AMG is extremely fast. All models are fun and comfortable to drive over long distances.

There are three trim levels: the AMG -line diesels, the AMG-line CLS 400 petrol and the top-spec CLS 63 AMG. There is also Premium and Premium Plus option packages, add the various luxury in the list of standard equipment, as well as an extensive and expensive list of each option.
All models get a leather interior, navigation system and DAB digital radio, but we would also optional air suspension recommend that you can choose between a comfortable or sporty driving.
The CLS 350 BlueTEC Diesel provides a reasonable 52.3mpg and its 201bhp 3.0-liter diesel engine takes it from 0 -62mph in 6.5 seconds. It is to run a lot cheaper than any of the spirits, but still packs a punch. If you're going to take the plunge and buy a CLS, it is the model that we would recommend.
