Audi was working hard, forced to keep in its class on the A3 and for the top spot, but it continues to be successful. It justifies nor its premium image and price tag against the Ford Focus and Opel Astra and other cars from the VW empire, namely the Volkswagen Golf, Seat Leon and Skoda Octavia, which all share the same chassis as the Audi.

More power is from the larger engines available, but it comes at the expense of reduced fuel efficiency, especially in the very fast and extremely fast S3 RS3 version, which we have reviewed separately.

The Audi A3 is a front- wheel drive car, but you can with all-wheel drive system on certain models of quattro Audi specify. In truth, the majority of drivers are unlikely to be the additional support often enough to the price increase, reduces fuel consumption and a higher vehicle tax to justify.

The Sport trim has the same features as SE-technology, but adds, treated 17-inch wheels, climate control dual zone and the Drive Select system to adjust the way the cart. S-Line models bring a unique sports interior, larger 18-inch alloy wheels and LED lights front and rear.
The S-Line model also sports suspension, with the intention of offering a contribution, pay reduced driving experience and it does so very good to drive, which makes more fun A3. It is still not quite the driver-irritant, though some of his latest rival correspond; enthusiastic driver might be the sharp reaction BMW 1-Series prefer.
Meanwhile, the S3 and RS3 have their own specific packages their performance and price tags match, although both models only Navi have expensive option available.
The Audi A3 finished in our 2016 Driver Power survey in the 47th place, with construction quality, in-car technology, performance and all highly rated by the owners handling. However, reliability, comfort and operating costs came for some criticism in, although improvements for the 2016 model year can be carried out to change things. Security, meanwhile, is excellent and the A3 carries a full five-star Euro NCAP safety rating.
Overall, the Audi A3 gets up and a high-quality, stylish family car with the latest technology. If you are worth considering a little more space, the Volkswagen Golf or SEAT Leon, but the Audi remains a solid and highly respected rounder.
