"The BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe stylish and fun to drive, but are more efficient than most four-seater GT cars."

The BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe (sometimes GC shortened) is a luxury four-door sedan with the stylish design of a coupes. Designed to rival the Mercedes CLS-Class and Audi A7, the Gran Coupe is based on the 6 Series Coupe, but was stretched an extra set of doors to include more legroom in the rear and a much larger boat. All engines offer impressive performance, while the BMW 640d returning fuel economy of over 50mpg is capable.

MPG, Rates & CO2 runs
-
impressive for such a large, heavy car
All three engines are equipped with a start-stop system and eight ~~ POS = TRUNC automatic BMW. The results are amazing - the 640d diesel fuel consumption of 51.4mpg and CO2 emissions of 147g / km for £ 145 annual road tax returns, while still in 5.4 seconds 0-62mph cover them
The 640i petrol Contributions equal. 0-62mph time, but uses far more fuel, with a combined value of 37.7mpg. The 650i petrol is unsurprisingly the least efficient of the cluster, but it is the first V8-powered BMW to emit less than 0 g / km CO2, as road tax is £ 265 per year. to have
SE models, CO2 levels tend to check a little lower CO2 emissions due to their smaller wheels, so carefully, if the tax rates are an important consideration, because M Sport models in higher bands in some may fall models.

motors, drive & Performance

the large hall remains fun
For such a big car to drive, and the 6 Series Gran Coupe handles. An optional Active Steering turns the rear wheels slightly and the front wheels, giving the steering a sharp reaction and feeling.
the pace and the Gran Coupe feels in the corners and a lot of fun, balanced ride. The 444bhp BMW 650i GC model is explosive fast, while the six-cylinder BMW 640i GC quickly and thanks to the standard exhaust Sport on petrol models, both sound fantastic.
But our pick of the range is the BMW 640d GC-diesel that matches the 640i acceleration but used much less fuel.

Interior & Comfort
-
Brilliant in which large distances
variable dampers as standard, you can adjust the suspension, but also set in its tightest the Gran Coupe is comfortable and quiet for long stretches. BMW Specifying Active Drive system adds active roll bars on the front and back - these keep the car rolls from the side in the corners to the side
It all adds up to a car that is stable and balanced, if you tick around. City, drive towards the motorway or fast on a quiet country road. The interior quality is excellent, while the seats are comfortable and hold in place well. The 6-series is still a sporty car, however, and the comfort of your own cruiser as the larger BMW 7 Series not match.
However, attempts BMW that impact to soften with luxuries like BMW ConnectedDrive, which has an on-board concierge services. This means that drivers can call a dedicated team of assistants and request something of a technical problem, restaurant reservations. If you need more connectivity, there is an optional WLAN hotspot feature, along with mobile phone charging.
-
practicality & trunk
-
Generous rear legroom with large trunk
BMW refers to the 6 Series Gran Coupe as a 4 + 1, as opposed to the 2 + 2 layout of the 6 Series Coupe. This means that a fifth passenger can squeeze almost, but because the middle seat is raised, there is limited room for maneuver and it's just really convenient for short distances.
rear legroom is generous, however, and in contrast to the Coupe, which fold GC rear seats flat, raise the narrow trunk of 460 liters to 1265 liters. A ski-hatch also lets you connect more with the seats by in space objects.

Build quality and safety is solid and reliable
All the Gran Coupe offered engines have been tried and tested elsewhere in this area - should be as large mechanical problems and from a few be far.

the Mercedes CLS is cheaper
A starting price of £ 61,000 is expensive for this class. Despite the additional interior space, only the Gran Coupe will cost approximately 1800 £ more than the equivalent of 6 Series Coupe - but it's about £ 10,000 more than the equivalent Mercedes CLS-Class
