The Renault Megane Coupe is a very different statement to the regular Megane hatchback five-door. It has to share some parts with this car, but it is actually a widely held, seductive style machine and is closely aligned with cars like the Volkswagen Scirocco.

The same applies to two other of its competitors is, the Opel Astra GTC and SEAT Leon SC, cars that share the name of less glamorous tailgates, but are actually quite sporty and elegant. The Megane Coupe reflects the efforts of the competition for customers style and enjoyment over expediency and efficiency.

It definitely looks the part and has much more visual appeal than the regular Megane. Inside however, it is broadly the same family hatchback, but it is still worth noting that Renault interior quality has come on a lot in recent years. If you crave a harcore hot hatch then get the Renault version, or pick up a R26 verion of the previous model, but for most people the Coupé offers plenty of usable power without compromising on space and comfort. A large hot hatch.

The Megane Coupe priced sharp, looks good and comes well equipped. It also handles well and is with some fine engines. But the rear seats Head and leg room are poor, and the ride is very firm compared to the best in class.
