"The Chevrolet Cruze hatchback represents fantastic value for money and the diesel are cheap to run."

was launched this practical hatchback version of the Chevrolet Cruze in 2011 to life, but only took the sales of stopping for sale as a result of the decision Chevrolet cars in Britain by early, 2015.
, the Cruze hatchback offered a versatile interior, a big boat and generous amounts of standard equipment and accessories for a prettly low price. The Cruze was an affordable alternative to many of the obvious choice for the family car market, such as the Opel Astra, Ford Focus and Hyundai i30. The 1.7-liter diesel engine was the first choice, general comfort with decent fuel economy and performance combined decent cruiser remote to make.
Because you can buy the new Chevrolet Cruze more, read on to see what we thought of it in 2012 ...

Average fuel consumption and emissions
We would recommend the 1.7-liter diesel Cruze, as it is and should be returning 62.7mpg in the most economical area. This is not anywhere near the best in class, but it is competitive and much better than what you will get from the 1.6 and 1.8 liter petrol engines in the range, the only manage 42.8mpg can.
Fortunately, a three-year fixed-price service plan and three-year warranty should keep maintenance costs in check. However, resale value on the used car market are bad for all Chevrolets and you should resist the Cruze, do not expect this trend - but at least it is relatively inexpensive to buy in the first place.

Smooth's diesel engine to the car
to the Cruze with a scored of four engines suitable - two diesel and two petrols. The latter are only available with a five-speed manual transmission and so sound quite ragged at highway speeds. From the diesels, we would go for the 1.7-liter VCDi which has a six-speed gearbox and delivers its power smoothly and quietly.
The steering of the Cruze will be much too easy for some tastes, but this power to maneuver the car lighter city. It does not handle that do well through corners, either with the likes of the Ford Focus and VW Golf both better in this area. The Cruze is a car driver, then, but it is only a little worse than competitors like the Hyundai i30.

Interior & Comfort
-
seats are firm yet comfortable
one thing that Cruze definitely has for them to go is a nice dash - stylish and much more interesting than in his class many and supposedly on the dashboard of the Corvette sports cars. Combined with the firm but comfortable seats, it creates a pleasant environment for the driver.
But the Cruze is a considerable disappointment when it comes to refinement. Far too often means that the stiff suspension that passengers beaten and shaken to. Road, engine and wind noise are also very pushy when at highway speeds and the often poor quality of the interior makes the whole experience quite tiring after a while driving.

practicality & trunk
-
hatchback is more versatile than the sedan
a hatchback version in addition to the sedan model of the Cruze brings adding additional functionality to the area - including 11mm of extra headroom in the back. Unusually, however, the boat has actually decreased by almost 40 liters to 413 liters in size - but that's not bad if you there is still 100 liters larger than the Ford Focus'
also look decent access on which you receive. to facilitate boat loading than rivals such as the Citroen C4, but beyond that there is a distinct lack of clever storage solutions, with only a few simple lashings to hold loose items in the trunk. The Cruze comes with a number of storage cubbies throughout the car covered, so that small items can be easily stowed, and the glove box is a decent enough size.

Chevrolet quality improves
While Chevrolet's drive to continually improve reliability in his reach, he did not do so well in our 2013 driver Power customer satisfaction survey, 20 Except 32 in the list of top manufacturers. That is, does not have it on the list in 2012 at all, leapfrogging the likes of Vauxhall and Ford is pretty impressive.
The Cruze is a modern car built with tried and tested General Motors parts and should prove quite reliable to be during his lifetime. The previous version had a bad reputation for reliability, but it was based on a rebadged Daewoo and should not reflect on the current range. Nevertheless, some of the materials inside the Cruze feel still uses cheap and thin and do not see how they will stand up to abuse many years the family.
In terms of safety, the sedan version of the Cruze secured a full five-star rating in Euro NCAP crash tests and comes standard with airbags for both front seat occupants.

price, price-performance ratio and options
-
equipped Good compared to more expensive rivals
simply a better drive, or more comfortable in many of the Cruze main rivals as the Volkswagen Golf or Skoda Octavia find, but the Chevrolet certainly offers and accessories for the price a wealth of devices.
entry-level S models with remote control, air conditioning, electric windows and a CD player are standard. The mid-range LS model poses in alloy wheels, fog lights and rear parking sensors, while the top-of-the-range LTZ is chock full of standard equipment and accessories, including automatic headlights and wipers, cruise control and iPod docking stations.
Chevrolet reputation and position in the UK market has long been that the budget brand, but has to bring in the Camaro that something changed, so that the brand to go a bit more upmarket. However, the Cruze is a good price-performance ratio.
