"If you are on a tight budget and want a brand new SUV, the Dacia Duster could be the car good for you."

If you are after a SUV, then the rule of thumb that you will spend more money than if you bought a tailgate, sedan or station wagon. This is not necessarily the case with the Dacia Duster; start with entry-level models at £ almost 10,000, it is by far the cheapest SUV you can buy
makes the rivals for the Duster naming -. much as all Dacia - a bit difficult because it similarly priced alternatives any competitor's price-wise only undercuts while offering a lot more space and functionality. We stick to suggesting competitors who do a similar job to the Duster, however, and they are the likes of Renault Kadjar, Nissan Qashqai and Hyundai Tucson.

Inevitably, because of the rock-bottom price tag of cars, it is possible to tell where Dacia has saved money. On the one hand equipment on the access model entry-level is remarkably sparse. Go for one of those and you get white paint (no choice) and black plastic bumpers, black door handles and no-frills 16-inch steel wheels. Inside, there is not even a stereo - only "pre-wiring" for a -. And the pervasive black plastic reappears there also
trim Ambiance Top, however, and one at least gets hubcaps for steel wheels, while not only a stereo provided, but there are DAB radio to, and Bluetooth. There are also body-colored (and there are more than one color available, also) bumpers, some anthracite interior and even some chrome. This version also comes equipped with front fog lamps.

Our favorite variant Laureate, the intricacies as alloy wheels, air conditioning, power windows and even adds cruise control. The top-spec Premium model is even more, including satellite navigation and even rear parking sensors.
Under the hood there is a choice of two petrol and a diesel engine. At the entry point in the program is the 114bhp 1.6-liter non-turbo petrol. Out of the whole area, which is what we recommend you avoid (although it is the only engine available with the access model is), because it is not very powerful and will not run cheap. Depending on whether you for two or four-wheel drive, it takes 11 or 12 seconds from 0-62mph get, while the fuel efficiency for the four front-drive cars is respectively 41.5 and 44.1mpg. This means that the CO2 emissions of either 155 or 145 g / km and road tax bills of £ 145 or £ 185
Go for the more powerful 123bhp turbocharged 1.2-liter petrol and you get slightly better performance, with front- drive models with 10.2 seconds to do the 0-62mph sprint. Four-wheel drive models, but (thanks to their extra weight) take 11 seconds. The 1.2-liter is not so much cheaper to run than the 1.6-liter, but with CO2 emissions in the range of 138 g / km for front panel models to 145g / km for the four-wheel drive. This means a tax bill either £ 130 or £ 145 and fuel consumption of either 46.3 or 44.1mpg. You can also only this engine in the top two trim levels, so you have to spend more money to get it.

Our favorite of the three engines is the 109bhp 1.5-liter diesel. It is expressive enough - with similar specs to the other models in the range - but its power a much wider speed range is distributed, it is much more flexible feel than the gasolines. It is also to run the cheapest, about 60mpg return in both two and four-wheel-drive guise. This corresponds to CO2 emissions of 115 g / km for two-wheel versions and 123g / km on four-wheel drive models. Annual road tax bills are £ 30 and £ 110 respectively, while business users will find in the 23 and 24% Benefit-in-Kind (BiK) company car tax bands.
While one can say where the money is stored in the car, it also seems that thrift security implications had credentials. Euro NCAP was only awarded the Duster three stars if they crash-tested, and that's not really good enough in today's automotive market. The two areas that were really let down active safety and pedestrian protection. But it has all the required kit -. Electronic stability control, ISOFIX in the back and front airbags
reliability should not be too much of a problem, however. The Duster primarily uses tried and tested Renault parts and the company has conducted satisfaction survey in our Driver Power owner. The brand itself came fourth overall (out of 32) in 2016, while the Duster scored an impressive 36th place, get an impressive 37th for Reliability of 150 cars.
